I hope it will be helpful for parents and students studying abroad, especially for the first time. Welcome to add amendments. I wish you all a smooth journey!
Entry, flight and exit matters:
1. Take your passport and air ticket with you. Take a small satchel, a pen, a watch, one or two small plastic bags (not suitable for airplane vomiting), an empty water cup with a lid (there is boiling water in the Beijing terminal, but you can enter the terminal only after security check, and you can't bring liquids, including toothpaste and skin care products, if you bring paste or liquid items, you must check them in), a pair of reading glasses, an headrest (for sleeping and resting on the plane), and several glasses.
2. When entering the airport, please check your luggage at the service desk and show your ticket. The service staff will change the ticket into a boarding pass.
3. Please fill in the entry-exit registration card at the counter before entering the customs from Beijing. It was then handed over to the staff. Before entering the waiting hall, you will be asked for security check. Generally, you should take off your shoes, coat cover, watch, mobile phone, keys, coins and other metal objects. If you wear a belt, you should also take it off, and then put your carry-on bag in the box on the conveyor belt. People enter through the security check door (you can see what the passengers in front do), then take their belongings and enter the designated registration gate to wait. I don't know at which registration gate I can show my boarding pass and ask the staff. )
4. Hold your passport and registration card when boarding the plane. Business class and first class boarding first. Most of the passengers are economy class, so they can't board the plane until later, so don't worry when waiting in line.
5. After approaching the plane, take the boarding pass and ask the stewardess where the seat is and how to get there. Confirm the seat number when you get to your seat. The seat number is above your head.
6. fasten your seat belt after sitting down. You can ask the stewardess or other passengers how to fasten, untie and adjust the tightness. Don't adjust it too tightly, the seat belt on the plane is similar to that on the car. It is best to open your mouth when taking off and landing to balance the air pressure and reduce tinnitus and other discomfort.
7. The economy toilet is at the back of the plane, facing away from you. The toilet on the plane is used by men and women. You can go in when you see no one, and you can wait in line at the door when someone is there. There are two kinds of toilets on the plane: there are handles that can be directly entered; No handle, push it in the middle, and it will open. Generally, after the door is locked, the light inside will turn on. You don't have to bring your own toilet paper and toilet paper. The flushing toilet has a button, which can only be discharged after you hold it down. The faucet is generally the same.
8. At dinner time (three times in the morning, noon and evening, at 6 or 7 in the morning and around 12 noon), flight attendants will deliver meals, usually giving out paper towels and drinks first. Old people can order white water or orange juice. Drink plenty of water on the plane. Generally, the stewardess will send water once in a while. If it's not time to send water, you can always ask the stewardess to send a glass of water or orange juice without ice when you are thirsty.
9. When eating, put down the table in front of you and put drinks and food. When a flight attendant delivers a meal, she will ask what kind of meal she wants, usually beef rice or chicken rice, depending on her taste. There will be a light above the head to control the switch. There will also be a small fan overhead, which is not commonly used by China people. After eating, put away the dining table, turn off the lights and have a rest at any time. How to use the dining table, how to turn on and off the lights, you can ask the stewardess or other passengers, or you can refer to other people's practices.
1. There will be a blanket on the seat of the plane, which will be covered when resting. If you feel that a blanket is not enough and a little cold, you can ask the stewardess to add a blanket. There will also be headphones on the plane for watching TV and listening to music. You can adjust the volume and select the channel by yourself. The volume and channel adjustment buttons are on the side of the seat.
11. The seat of the airplane can be adjusted back and forth. When you need to have a rest after the flight is stable, adjust the seat backwards, put the button on the armrest, and lean back after holding your hand. When you hold it down again, the seat will automatically return to its original position. This adjustment is the same as the seat in a car. You can usually train in the car. Ask the stewardess or other passengers for help when you don't know how to adjust.
12. After the plane flies smoothly, you can stand up and walk around the back of the plane, usually for an hour or two.
13. During the flight, flight attendants will issue I-94 forms and customs declaration forms. Fill it out and put it with your passport. When you get off the plane and leave the customs, give it to the immigration officer. If it is wrong, you can ask the stewardess to give a new one and throw away the old one. These two forms should be filled out in English or pinyin. You can take the samples filled out at home to other passengers or flight attendants and ask them to help transcribe them. The customs declaration form should be signed by yourself, just in Chinese.
14. After disembarking from the plane, queue up with a crowded team in China, go to the designated window, and hand in the I-94 form, customs declaration form, passport, letter to the immigration officer, daughter's birth certificate, and round-trip air ticket (the last two items are optional). The immigration officer will ask you to press your fingerprint, first with your left index finger and then with your right index finger (similar to the situation when you apply for a visa, so is the fingerprint collection instrument, and the fingerprint collection order may be right index finger first and then left index finger). Then take photos. As long as you face the counter, the immigration officer will automatically collect photos without special preparation. If the immigration officer asks other questions, he doesn't know English and doesn't have to answer them. The immigration officer will then stamp the passport, and return the passport, the attached page of 1-94, the birth certificate and the round-trip air ticket (the customs declaration form is generally not returned, if it is returned, put it away, and hand it over to the customs inspector after collecting the luggage. )。 Check it and put it in your carry-on bag.
15. Then go to the baggage claim area. Different flights will have different baggage claim locations. You can ask where to pick up the baggage of this flight with your ticket, and some will have to walk a long way. Different flights are at different baggage claim areas, and some flights may also have two baggage claim areas, which are generally adjacent. At the baggage claim area, the baggage may not have arrived yet, and the delivered baggage is on the conveyor belt. When you see your baggage, you can ask other passengers to help you move it down. Then he went out of the customs with his luggage. If the customs officers cross-examine, they should hand in their passports, air tickets and other materials. If the customs officers ask to check their luggage, they should open it for inspection. After no problem, you can leave the airport smoothly.
16. If you don't know where the airport exit is, you can ask other passengers or service personnel.
17. Generally, there is a sign of a girl in a skirt in the ladies' room in the airport lobby. If you don't know, you can look at others or ask.
18. If you are thirsty at the airport and can't find a water dispenser, you can buy a bottle of mineral water, usually about $4 a bottle.
19. You need help to make a phone call at the airport.
