What does the captain need to write on the bill of lading after releasing the goods?
Clean bill of lading refers to the bill of lading in which the goods are in good appearance at the time of shipment, and the carrier has not added any comments on damage, poor packaging or other obstacles to foreign exchange settlement. An unclean bill of lading or a soiled bill of lading refers to a bill of lading in which the carrier notices that the goods and packaging are in poor condition or defective, such as water, oil, dirt and corrosion. According to the law, the carrier is not responsible for the loss of goods caused by poor packaging. Packaging can be divided into inner packaging and outer packaging, and the outer packaging is generally within the reach of the naked eye. If there is no covering, the inner package may also be within the reach of the eyes. If a clean bill of lading has been issued, but the carrier or the person who issued the bill of lading on his behalf can prove that there are defects on the surface of the goods at the time of receiving/loading, can the carrier be exempted from liability? If, according to the objective conditions at the time of receiving/loading, such as light and other factors, the average person can obviously find that there is a flaw on the surface, but the carrier or the person who issues the bill of lading on his behalf does not make comments (comments should be made instead of comments), the carrier will not be exempted from the losses arising therefrom.
