tukhachevsky is one of the most famous commanders of the Soviet Red Army. He fought in the north and south and made great contributions to the defense of the Soviet regime. He is known as "Red Napoleon". Since 1921, he has served as the president and chief of staff of the military academy. In 1935, he was awarded the rank of "Marshal of the Soviet Union" by the first batch.
In p>1936, the dark cloud of war hung over Europe, and Hitler was considering whether to attack the Soviet Union or Britain and France first. At the end of the year, Kabring, a former Russian general, submitted two pieces of information to representatives of German intelligence agencies in Paris. The first one is: The high command of the Red Army is planning a plot against Stalin, and the chief figure is Marshal tukhachevsky. The second one is that Tusk and his cronies are in contact with senior generals of the German high command.
The news soon reached heydrich. The callous, calculating and political scheming veteran immediately sniffed out that there was much to be done. Although he was deeply suspicious of the reliability of the information, he decided to give it a try. Whether it is successful or not, it is beneficial to Nazi Germany. He was also sure that the Fuehrer would agree with him. In this case, the best way is to let the "information from Paris" fall into Stalin's hands, which is equivalent to handing over the most talented military leaders of the Soviet Union and his subordinates to the Soviet reconnaissance agency to kill people by using a knife. If it succeeds, it will inevitably weaken the strength of the increasingly powerful Soviet army, which poses a threat to the German army. Even the consequences of this attack can make it devastated, and it will be difficult to recover after several years.
heydrich is well aware that it is difficult to convince the Soviet side and take the bait with such inconclusive information. We must try to forge a lot of evidence, such as secret communication between tukhachevsky and other senior German officers and asking for help. Naturally, if you want to forge these documents, you have to be very realistic in handwriting and tone. For heydrich, who is good at making up and making fakes, this is no different from everyday life. At the same time, coincidentally, there was some economic and military cooperation between the Soviet Union and Germany in the 192s. As the main leader of the Red Army, Tusk had correspondence with some senior German generals. These originals and relevant important materials were stored in the archives of the German Supreme Command, which facilitated the conspiracy. Heydrich decided to make full use of these documents. In order to keep secret and prevent others from interfering, he ordered his secret agents to sneak into the secret archives room of the chiefs of staff and steal the files about Tusk unnoticed. In this file, the documents of a special department of the German Defence Force, code-named "R", are kept. This organization existed between 1923 and 1933, and its public name was "Association for the Promotion of Business Entrepreneur Activities". It had dealt with the Soviets.
After the victory of the October Revolution, the newly established Soviet regime signed an alliance with Germany to gain recovery and breathing space. This alliance began in the economic field, and then gradually developed into the military field. Therefore, it is not surprising that German officers talked with tukhachevsky. During 1925-1928, Tu was the chief of staff of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants. It was entirely his duty to meet and talk with representatives of the German high command and the German military attache in the Soviet Union. Naturally, he did it on behalf of the government and had nothing to do with private affairs. Moreover, all this happened before Hitler came to power. Unfortunately, however, it was abused by the devil, which became "strong evidence" of tukhachevsky's fatal disaster.
Since April, 1937, forgery has been carried out in a basement of the Gestapo headquarters in Berlin. For this purpose, a laboratory with complete technical equipment has been set up. Participants are strictly selected and guarded by special guards. Heydrich ordered tampering with the file, adding some words and phrases to conversation record and correspondence, adding new letters and changing the tone. After careful fabrication, imitation and processing by secret service experts, an impeccable and rich file was quickly produced. The handwriting, tone and even signature of all the contents are hard to distinguish, and this file can convincingly send any general of any country to a military court for treason. A few days later, the case file was sent to Hitler. After reading it, he was greatly appreciative and instructed to try to throw these materials out quickly.
The first step of heydrich's conspiracy plan has been completed, and he has started the second step. Forging documents and making them to the extent of authenticity can be done by experts in any spy agency. However, the real problem is to send the forged documents to the right place without arousing suspicion. In particular, it is even more difficult to send it to Stalin. However, heydrich has successfully solved this problem. In 1936, the German Foreign Ministry often used Stene, Czechoslovakia's envoy to Berlin, to find out what position Czechoslovakia would take in the future war between Germany and France. Heydrich took advantage of this situation to instruct people to disclose some relevant information to the minister intentionally or unintentionally. When Ma Stene learned the news, he immediately sent a coded telegram to Prague. The cable mentioned that a German diplomat who had contacted him before suddenly lost interest in the topic he was talking about. This made him extremely surprised, because the Germans were very concerned about this issue before. From the diplomat's words and hints, he realized that the Germans were in contact with an anti-Stalin group in the Soviet army. Berlin is obviously waiting for the change of government in Moscow, so it doesn't matter what attitude it takes to Czechoslovakia at this time. If this change happens, it will make the pattern of European power develop in the direction of Nazi Germany, which is quite dangerous.
This message soon reached Czech President Benaise, who felt it necessary to inform the Soviet Union immediately. Because Czechoslovakia is facing the problem of Germany seizing its territory Sudetenland. Benaise expects the Soviet Union to stand by him in the struggle of Jiede. So Benaise immediately summoned Alexander Rovsky, the Soviet ambassador to Prague, and introduced the contents of Ma Stene's report to him: the generals plotted against Stalin, and Hitler and German generals also participated in this conspiracy.
After listening to this information attentively, the ambassador hurried back to the embassy and immediately flew back to Moscow to report. Heydrich threw information, and so it went to the place-Stalin's hands.
during this period, the domestic purges in the Soviet Union were expanding. From top to bottom, hidden "class enemies" were exposed, and even physically eliminated, which undoubtedly caused many unjust, false and wrong cases, and many people died. And "big spy" like tukhachevsky, it is no doubt to eliminate the object.
In May this year, King George VI of England held a coronation ceremony. Marshal tukhachevsky, the Soviet representative who was scheduled to attend the ceremony, was suddenly announced to be unable to go because of illness, and was reassigned to the naval commander Mr. M. orlov. A few days later, the marshal was dismissed from the post of deputy national defense people's Committee. Not long after, the newspaper published the news that he and seven other senior generals were arrested.
Soon, the Soviet government set up a special military court headed by Vischinski for trial. The trial was held in secret, and tukhachevsky and seven other defendants were charged with "treason and espionage". They were dumbfounded by the "unquestionable, personally signed" document presented by the court, and it was difficult to defend. Tukhachevsky said bitterly, "I seem to have had a dream." Finally, the court announced that the defendant had conclusive evidence of the crime and confessed, and all of them were sentenced to death and executed immediately.
In this way, tukhachevsky, an outstanding military leader of the Soviet Union, was killed by mistake because of the deviance of Nazi Germany. He was only 44 years old. Twenty-four years later, at the 22nd Congress of the Soviet Union, he and many innocent people were rehabilitated.
