Heidi also made a new friend, the shepherd boy Peter (played by Quinlin Agpi). Together they wandered among the mountains and green fields, living a leisurely and happy life.
Later, Heidi was forced to leave the mountains and was sent to Frankfurt to be the playmate of Clara (Isabel Altman), a rich girl who could not walk. Heidi and Clara hit it off immediately, and they soon became friends. Soon they became inseparable friends, and under the guidance of Clara's grandmother (played by Hannelore Hogg), she developed an interest in books. However, her nostalgia for the beautiful mountain scenery and her grandfather continued unabated.
