On the Go menu, click Folder List.
Please do one of the following:
If you have a POP3 e-mail account, right-click the Personal Folders folder, and then click Personal Folder Properties on the shortcut menu.
If you have an HTTP e-mail account (not supported in Outlook 2000) (such as MSN? Hotmail? ), right-click the Hotmail folder, and then click Hotmail Properties on the shortcut menu.
On the General tab, click Advanced.
Click Change Password.
In the Change Password dialog box, type your new password and type it again to verify it. The longest password can be 15 characters.
Notes uses strong passwords containing uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Weak passwords do not mix these elements. For example, strong password: Y6dh! Et5. Weak password: House27. Please use a strong password that you can remember, so that you don't have to record the password.
Be sure to clear the Save this password in the password list check box. This can prevent the password from being cached, and you need to type it every time you run Outlook. Don't forget this password.
Click OK three times.
When you click the e-mail account folder, you will be prompted to enter the password. When you gain access, you don't have to enter your password again in this session. If you quit Outlook and then restart it, you will be prompted to enter your password when you click the e-mail account folder.
Important. Pst password function is not designed to prevent hacker attacks. It is just a way to prevent others (such as family) who trust and share the computer from accidentally invading. Another safer way to protect data on a computer shared with other users is to create a password-protected Windows user account for everyone who uses the computer.
