Stan Smith first designed it in 1963. At first, it wasn't called Stan Smith, because this pair of shoes was originally designed for a famous French tennis player named Robert Harriet at the Davis Cup in France. Later, this pair of shoes didn't catch fire for this reason, just a pair of very ordinary shoes. It was not until a Frenchman named Robert Louis Dreyfus saved Adidas in the lonely and dark period that the later Stan Smith came into being. After many twists and turns, Adidas signed a contract with Stan Smith, an outstanding American Davis Cup tennis player, to design a sneaker specially for him and named it after him. So it can be called a classic inheritance.
The earliest Stan Smith wore this kind of signature shoes with green tails, so this is one of the reasons why Adi's green tails are so hot. Compared with red and black tails, green tails are really more charming.
