Nasa stands for national aeronautics and space administration. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is a government agency of the US federal government, which is responsible for the US space program. 1958 On July 29th, President Eisenhower signed American Public Law 85-568 (National Aerospace Law) and established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Nasa research program

The research plans of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States include project mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Space Laboratory, Space Shuttle, International Space Station (in cooperation with Russia, Canada, Europe, Rosaviakosmos and Japan Space Development Agency), Constellation and Orion, which will land on Mars in the future.

The Apollo program later became a manned moon landing program. Gemini soon became a mission to provide auxiliary spacecraft technology for the much more complicated Apollo program.

NASA won the race to land on the moon, but in a sense, it lost its direction, at least the funding from Congress and public interest. As a follow-up plan, NASA will build a space station and a Mars base.
