Gan Long's Poems of Imperial Monument Pavilion
The river is like a practice, and the western hills are like a platform. Whenever the moon sets in the west at dawn, the moonlight is reflected in the water, which makes it brighter and brighter, thus becoming one of the eight scenic spots in ancient Yanjing. At the east and west ends of the bridge, there are two monuments, one is the "Lugou Xiaoyue" monument inscribed by Emperor Qianlong in the east, and the other is the monument erected by Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty in 1698 to describe the reconstruction of Lugou Bridge. This Imperial Monument Pavilion is located on Yanqi Bridge on the east side of Lugou Bridge. The word "Lugou Xiaoyue" on the tablet is Gan Long's imperial pen.
