Infants refer to children aged 0-11 months. Babies grow and develop very rapidly at this stage, which is the most vigorous stage of growth and development in a person's life. The weight is about 9kg to 19kg. When babies are born at full term, they already have good sucking and swallowing functions. There are thick fat pads on the cheeks to facilitate sucking activities, while premature babies have poorer functions. The sucking movement is a complex natural reflex. Serious diseases can affect this reflex, making sucking weak and ineffective.
