For you who love taking pictures, you must have downloaded a lot of retouching software on your mobile phone or computer, but in fact, in addition to the special retouching APP, the retouching software that comes with iPhone or Mac can also meet the basic editing needs of pictures. Bian Xiao will introduce the retouching tutorial for iPhone and Mac in detail.
Several points for attention
1. Use native photo applications to decorate pictures. No matter on iPhone or Mac, it is modified on the original image and supports "one-button recovery". No matter what picture you have edited, you can change it back to the original picture by pressing the "Restore" button. Once you choose "Restore", you can't restore any edited effect of the picture, that is, you really "return to the original point";
2. If you want to save the modified picture and the original picture at the same time, you can use the sharing function of the mobile phone, edit it and send it to yourself, then save it separately and then "restore". Mac users can choose the file in the menu bar after editing-export, save as, and then restore.
3. On the Mac, the default app for opening pictures is not "Pictures" app, but "Preview". This article mainly focuses on the "Picture" app, but at the end of the article, the editing function of "Preview" will also be fully introduced.
4. Application version description: This paper takes the "Picture" app on iOS12.12 and macOS Mojave 10. 14 systems as an example, and the functions and operations of different system versions will be slightly different.
Cut and rotate
Sometimes, in order to meet the requirements of layout or composition, we need to cut the picture or even change it to a specific proportion.
To complete this operation, just open any picture in the iPhone album, click the "Edit" button in the upper right corner of the screen, and then select the "Crop" button below.
Generally speaking, after entering this page, the system will automatically rotate the photo to the angle it thinks is horizontal. If you don't like it, you can modify it through the angle compass at the bottom of the photo, or click the "Restore" button to return to the original picture, and then click "Automatic" to make automatic adjustment.
If you pay attention, you will find a thin white edge outside the picture, and the four corners are thicker. Press and hold any corner to adjust the picture "box", and then just click on the picture to move it in the box.
If you need to set the picture frame to a specific contrast, you can click the icon in the lower right corner and select the required scale, such as square, 16:9.
As for the "rotate" button in the lower left corner, every time you click it, the photo will rotate 90 counterclockwise.
When the operation is changed to macOS, just select the picture to be edited in Photos app, click Edit in the upper right corner, and then select Crop to enter the editing interface.
You didn't sync the photos to the photos on the computer? Just open the "Photos" app and drag the picture to the app interface to complete the photo import. )
The function of macOS in this respect is basically the same as that of the mobile phone version, but the location of function keys is different. It should be pointed out that the "90 flip" function button on the computer side is placed in the upper right corner of the whole interface.
In addition, the Mac version of the photo also adds a "flip" function, which allows the photo to flip in the mirror, which is not available on the mobile side.
mark
Sometimes it is necessary to annotate pictures, and the "Annotation" function on iPhone can basically meet the demand.
Open the picture editing mode, click the "More" button in the lower right corner, and select the "Mark" function.
Very intuitive, there are three different "tags" at the bottom of the interface. After selecting a specific "pen", click the icon of the pen again to see the strokes of each pen, and select the stroke thickness and ink transparency.
The remaining three buttons to the right of the marker are Eraser, Select and Color, which are tools for editing marker handwriting.
To use the Select tool, just circle the handwriting you want to move, let go, click and hold the circle you drew with a dotted line, and then drag the handwriting.
Hidden in the rightmost "More" are several additional functions, such as text, signature, amplifier and geometry. Please refer to the following figure for the specific operation mode:
On the mobile phone, it is relatively easy to draw the places that need to be marked directly with the finger touch screen, but it will be much more difficult to operate if you do it on the touchpad or mouse of the computer. Therefore, there are many operational changes when the marking function reaches the Mac end. Let's mark the edit page first.
As you can see from the toolbar, the "Eraser" and "Select" function keys have been deleted on the Mac, because computer users can click the required handwriting with the mouse to complete "Select" and then press a backspace key to delete the content.
For the use of "pen", the logic has also changed.
The first pen from the left, sketch, is a semi-automatic pen. When you draw a content, it will provide two "achievement" schemes, one is the version of straightening the lines that you can't draw with the mouse, and the other is the original version that you draw, which is a supplementary function to the computer operation characteristics.
As for the brush stroke effect, it is unified under the "Shape Style" icon, and the thickness and brush stroke effect can be selected as required.
The second "drawing" pen from the left is purely manual and can only change the stroke thickness. You need to choose the thickness of ink and draw the pattern you want before using it.
In the next Shape button, you can not only bring up daily geometry, but also find Magnifier and Highlight. Since the usage of "magnifying glass" has been introduced above, only the function and effect of "highlighting" are shown here.
If you need to add text, click Text to start typing. If you need to adjust the text format, click the "A" button on the right.
In addition to the above labeling function, Apple also added clockwise and counterclockwise "flip" options and "crop" functions at the end. According to my personal guess, it should be that the product manager thinks that you are likely to need these functions when making picture annotations.
The second native picture editor on Mac: preview
Just as the product manager decided to bring you the function of cropping and flipping pictures in the "tab", Apple may think that the most basic editing needs of many Mac users should be completed without opening the "Pictures" app, and some column picture editing functions should be combined in the "preview".
Simply double-click the picture on your Mac, and then click the "Tag" icon to expand the picture editor here.
The above-mentioned functions related to "photos" are basically included in "Preview" except the horizontal angle adjustment function of photos. Besides, there are many other functions here.
Select a picture (matting) or remove the background. Click the "smart lasso" button and select the part to edit. If you want to select it, select Copy from the Edit menu and paste it into a document or chat dialog box. If you want to remove the background, click "Crop" (or "Uncheck" in editing) directly after selection to confirm "Conversion".
According to experience, the above functions are only suitable for dealing with picture content with obvious color difference and simple lines, and are not suitable for "mining" fine objects such as portraits.
As for the "signature" function that we use in the iOS version of "Photos", it is also included in the "preview", and according to the usage habit of computers (it is not easy to control the use of the mouse to write signatures), the entry of taking photos to obtain signatures has been added.
In addition, "Preview" also includes a function-"Resize", which is not available in both iOS and Mac images. Click the corresponding icon, you can directly modify the size of the picture by inputting parameters, and you can lock the aspect ratio of the picture.
Conveniently, if you need to batch process the image size, just pull all the images into the same window, select them, and then click "Resize" to edit.
In addition to the image size and marking functions, the preview also includes a tool for adjusting colors. You can change the contrast, exposure and other parameters of the picture by moving the three marks under the color scale diagram, or you can choose "Auto Color Scale" to let the system adjust it for you.
If you want to adjust item by item, you can adjust it in a separate parameter item at the bottom of the chart. The "Restore All" at the bottom allows you to go back in time with one click.
Generally speaking, I personally think that the function of "preview" is still very powerful. Because there is no need to fine-tune the pictures, 95% of the pictures in this article are marked and processed in the "preview".
