——The 31st home-school letter from Jingdou Class 1
Parents and friends of Jingdou Class:
Hello everyone!
Summer is coming, and education on drowning prevention is the top priority of safety education. Last week, children were asked to memorize and copy the "Six Lessons for Preventing Drowning". During a spot check last week, many children copied the information but were not familiar with it. This week, the school continued to require the children to memorize the "Six Lessons for Preventing Drowning" and write it silently.
As one of China’s traditional cultures, ancient poetry has a long history. And in the subject of Chinese language, ancient poetry always has a place. Reciting ancient poems by children from an early age can lay a solid foundation for their future learning, which can be said to have many benefits.
1: Improve children's reading comprehension ability. For children, the meaning of ancient poems may not be easy to understand, but children have rich imaginations. By looking at the translations of ancient poems, they can figure out the artistic conception expressed in ancient poems, which is very important to them. Reading comprehension ability has been greatly improved.
2. Enhance children’s memory?. Children's memory needs to be trained. If children memorize ancient poems from an early age, their memory can be well trained.
3. Improve children’s knowledge reserve?. If children recite ancient poems from an early age, it can help them improve their knowledge reserves, lay a solid foundation for their future studies, and help them improve their academic performance.
4. Improve children’s language skills. Ancient poetry pays attention to rhythm, and ancient poetry will be catchy when recited, which will greatly improve children's language ability.
In view of this, we will ask our children to memorize at least one ancient poem every week. Memorize one poem a week, at least 50 poems a year, and persist for six years. By the time you graduate from elementary school, you will be able to realize your dream of "reciting 300 Tang poems and reciting them even if you don't know how to compose them." In order to make the children interested, we first lower the difficulty level, starting with the ancient poems in the Chinese language books. This week, the memorization is "Silent Night Thoughts". Memorizing it will definitely not be a problem. If you encounter difficult words, you should write them several times.
On the eve of Children's Day, the school will also hold a grand joining ceremony for the Young Pioneers. In other words, half of the children in our class are about to become Young Pioneers. Who should be elected? This is really a bit embarrassing for me. Thinking about the children who are usually so innocent and cute, each with their own advantages, I really want all the children in the class to join the glorious Young Pioneers this time, wear red scarves on their chests, and become a real Young Pioneers. However, the school has a quota limit, and only 50% of the students in a class can join. Since they cannot all join, the outstanding and better-performing children must join first. In this way, it is particularly important to set a fair and reasonable standard. In order to make this matter more fair, I worked on this matter all afternoon this Wednesday and formulated detailed quantitative standards:
1. Children’s writing homework, writing homework, Exercise books, writing books, and daily performance in discipline and hygiene (displayed on the title page of the language book) will add one point for each star earned. I added up the number of stars each child received. Zheng Ruohan, Bao Zhaochen, You Yinuo, Guo Yichen, Guo Yifan, Lu Yuchen, Lu Zhuoyue, Zhou Yuxi, Li Xinyan, and Xing Yukai, these children performed particularly well. Their serious writing attitude is worth learning from all of us.
Second, some time ago, I learned about the children’s knowledge of the first half of the Chinese and mathematics books. Lu Zhuoyue, Zhu Yan, Zhou Yuxi, Bao Zhaochen, You Yinuo, Guo Yichen, He Xinyan, Wang Yuming, Guo Yishuo, Xing Yukai?, these children have a better grasp of the knowledge they have learned.
Third, I added the above two items together. The 24 children at the top will join the Young Pioneers first. They are: Bao Zhaochen, You Yinuo, Lu Zhuoyue, Zhou Yuxi, Guo Yichen, Guo Yifan and Xinyan, Xing Yukai Lu Yuchen, Wang Yuming, Guo Ruihan, Li Xinyan, Zheng Ruohan, Zhu Yan, Guo Yifan, Mao Wenhan, Zhao Xintong, Song Peixi, Guo Xinyi, Guo Mofan, Yang Junhao, Yuan Chiheng, Ge Yixuan, Hao Yiqing?.
Here, I would like to express my congratulations to the children who can join the Young Pioneers this time. The harder you work, the luckier you get! Behind every honor lies the persistence and hard work of parents and children.
When I write to my friends this time, I would also like to say a few words from my heart to the parents of the children whose children were not elected this time. Opportunities for education are everywhere, and smart parents can skillfully transform every failure into motivation for their children to study hard. Today I am telling you the results of the selection in advance. Actually, I want to give the parents of the children who were not selected this time time to think of a solution. My child did not join the Young Pioneers this time. How should I guide and encourage my child? One more thing needs to be stated. The children who are not selected this time will all join the Young Pioneers after entering second grade. Therefore, there is no need to get entangled in this matter, just think about what to do to turn this failure into strength and promote the children to grow better in the future.
Okay, that’s it for today. All children are good children! Letting children grow up healthily and happily is our common goal.
Your sincere friend: Liang Naru
