1. Looking back on the past
1. How to join the work
I am a village primary school teacher, and I have only been working for six short years, because When I was in school, it coincided with the education reform in Yushu in 2000. The academic system of junior college was changed from two years to three years. As a result, the graduation time became 2001. After 2000, all the teacher graduates of Yushu did not have a targeted establishment. , that is to say, all the previous package allocations were invalidated. It was supposed to be a course in the corresponding junior high school after graduation, but as a result, he was laid off before he could take up the job. After 14 years of wandering, I returned to my hometown from Bayuquan, Liaoning to take the enterprise establishment examination. I was assigned to Xiangshun Primary School in Guangming Township, the most remote mountainous area of ??Yushu, which is the farthest one in the township. The village is small.
I still remember November 15, 2015. It was a snowy day. We went to the new school to report. When we walked through the snow-covered path and arrived at the lesson preparation room, we couldn’t help but feel cold. ah! The old-fashioned iron stove was used to cook the food inside, and there were only a few male teachers. It felt like the work was no better than in the countryside. I also stayed in the countryside when I was a child, and I studied in the countryside for the first and second grades. Later, he moved to the county, and more than thirty years later, he returned to the village he remembered.
I have been in this school for four years, and I have not taught many students in four years, and there are very few who are outstanding. I just started working at that time, and I cherish my hard-won job even more. Because since graduation, I have been working in a foreign company's factory. 14 years have passed and my teaching skills and level are not as good as those of newly graduated college students. But since you have chosen this profession, you must live up to your conscience! I still remember that before choosing a position, I bought elementary school textbooks, previewed them myself, and reported to the school. In the first class, I was led into the classroom to teach the children the fifth grade mathematics paper. What happened that day? It’s still fresh in my memory.
2. Gains and confusions at work
When I first started working, I took over a fifth-grade class with 17 students, the largest number of students in the school. I still remember the first time. I cried loudly and was angry with a child in the class because before I came to school, I was warned by my relatives and teachers not to spank my children. So the children who were about the same age as me stood up and saw you scrupulous, and they became even more emboldened. Class discipline was a mess, so the course progress was not very satisfactory. Half a semester later, when I was in sixth grade, the class was given to an older teacher. To be honest, the class teaching in the first year was a failure. In the second year, I took over a five-year class. There were nine students in the class. Two students transferred away, leaving seven. My classmates stayed with me until graduation. There are no overly naughty students here, but each child has his or her own unique personality, and they were not very receptive to me at first. In the gift given to the teacher after graduation, one child wrote this, the first time he came into contact with me as a teacher At that time, I felt that I was very annoying because I took too much care of them, but as time went by, they could feel my responsibility and true love for them, so they became reluctant to leave after graduation. I still remember that they didn’t master Chinese words very well at that time, so I would take a few minutes to dictate to them every day in Chinese class. One of the students refused to follow the dictation at the beginning, then made many typos, and finally secretly With hard work, the results of dictation are excellent every time. This is the result of hard work, dedication, and persistence! It is every child who sees his own progress and accepts me as a rather annoying teacher from the bottom of his heart.
3. Learn to be a person and do things
Two years later, this school was withdrawn because there were too few students, so I went to another village primary school with relatively few students, and I didn’t As a class teacher again, I teach English to two classes. To be honest, English is my weakest weakness. But what can I do, so I teach while learning. I provide children's papers for free. I bought a lot of English-related teaching materials myself, and the teaching methods I use are also my most original. Maybe it’s the kind of thing that children can learn by themselves and not be taught by teachers. Although there are only a few students, I can confidently say that their English proficiency is not inferior to that of students from Central School. Of course, there are the results of their own hard work, as well as the persistence and joy of progressing hand in hand. Try to learn how to write each text from dictation, which is really not easy to do! As an English teacher in a village primary school, my biggest hope is that the children can learn a few more words and understand a few more sentences when they are in primary school, so that they can be more relaxed when they reach junior high school.
2. Be prepared for the present
New learning has begun, and the school’s personnel allocation has changed. The head teacher of the sixth grade class has been transferred, and a new special teacher has arrived. Teacher Gang, her initial wish was for her to teach English. As the sixth-grade class teacher, I teach Chinese and mathematics, but this new teacher is a Mongolian, because her foreign language is Chinese. Finally, I also teach English to two classes, plus sixth-grade mathematics. , and also works part-time as a sixth-grade class teacher.
1. Have the courage to take responsibility and challenge yourself
To be honest, from the bottom of my heart, I don’t want to take over this class, because in my opinion, the children in this class are quite Inertia, although I always get 99 or 100 points at the end of each semester, if I can't finish the paper within the actually specified time, I am really afraid that after one semester, my professor will reveal all my true colors. Later, under the repeated insistence of the principal, I decided to take over the class and try my best. Among them was a student whose foundation was particularly weak and a little playful. She could solve the questions that others had solved in a short period of time. Well, it's either wrong or you can't keep up, but since you have accepted this class, you have to devote yourself to it! I asked them to start writing diaries. This may have something to do with me starting to participate in educational walks and writing. I also hope that the children can keep writing and record every bit of their lives. I will also urge them to read English and write words every morning. I still remember that in the first few days, during an after-school tutoring session, another teacher asked several students in our class whether they liked the current class teacher or the original class teacher. At that time, a child said that he didn't like me, so my work enthusiasm was severely affected. At that time, the teacher advised me not to be too strict with them. If it was too strict and caused rebellious psychology in the children, the consequences would be disastrous. I felt that I was so attentive to them, but I didn't appreciate them at all! In the next few days? I felt like giving up, but the children's performance exceeded my expectations. Even if I don't urge them to read English, they are reading it themselves. Even if I don't urge them to write a diary, they themselves have written a diary. But they haven’t shown it to me yet, and I won’t read it either. One day during evening tutoring, a child took the initiative to show me his diary. When school was over, he held biscuits in his hand and insisted on stuffing them into my mouth. When I checked the exercise book for the child with a relatively weak foundation in the morning, I found that he had made a lot of progress than before. I praised him at that time, but I also wondered why he suddenly seemed like a different person and felt enlightened? The child said, "Teacher, you gave me a special explanation of a class this morning. Can I do it?" Maybe it’s because I’m not impatient or impatient, or I don’t show my impatient mood, so this child insists on walking with me. It feels really good to know that I won’t be pulled down and can go hand in hand.
2. Only by accepting and making breakthroughs
The situations of the three children are different. One has a weak foundation, and the other has poor eyesight, so This may bring various difficulties to their learning. But no matter what kind of students they are, they have to accept and face it and work hard to find solutions, because some knowledge and students' habits cannot be achieved overnight and can only be achieved step by step.
3. Adjust your mentality and go with the flow
Children who have good habits and can arrange their own studies are certainly worthy of luck. Those children who need to be taught by others need more attention from teachers! We also need to protect the child's self-esteem, after all, he is an older child. Sometimes, you will find that if he accepts you, even if you ask him for more, he will accept it happily instead of having a strong rebellious mentality, so everything must be done slowly and not in a hurry. Only by truly getting into the child's heart can we not teach students from the perspective of a superior person, because even with simple questions, in their eyes, he is a beginner and may have various learning problems.
3. Looking to the future
1. Managing students
Because of the previous teacher, I felt that the children in the class were particularly lazy. When I was working, I always ignored the easy matter and ignored the hard ones. Even the issue of wiping the blackboard was always pushed back and forth. Later, I bought an advanced blackboard eraser for the class, just to make them change their minds about the issue of wiping the blackboard and make it a problem. As a fun thing, I will also give them some small rewards for class hygiene, as well as daily ideological indoctrination, and also practice it personally and take action myself.
2. Manage your own body
The body is the capital of revolution. Only with a good body can we better lead children to study. I brought a basketball to the school. There is also rope skipping, which also urges children to go out for exercise in good weather. Cultivating children's good exercise habits and having a strong body is also an important issue in children's growth, and the same is true for teachers.
3. Manage your own mentality
Children’s learning is important, but they should still be treated as healthy people. This knowledge in primary school is nothing more than a process of solidification practice. , It is still more important to develop good study habits. You can persist in writing, reading and writing, and you can also pay attention to some skills in calculation methods. If you really develop a habit, there are some things that the teacher does not need to worry about.
4. Reading and writing build life
1. Keep reading and writing
I often tell the children that we will learn a song during after-school tutoring It is not necessary to be able to recite relatively famous poems. It is also good to be able to read them familiarly. Appreciating poems can also enrich our lives. I ask my children to keep a diary, just because I want them to be able to record every bit of their lives.
Some people say that teaching Chinese is actually about increasing reading, and increasing the amount of reading is the best way to learn Chinese. Maybe if the children insist on writing, they may not write very well, but the worst persistence is better than giving up gracefully. Including my insistence on punching in 500 words every day, it may also be miscellaneous things. But I have participated in the small check-in for more than 60 days, and participated in the reading club for more than 200 days. In fact, these are all experiences, and they are also beneficial and harmless.
2. Communicate more with people with positive energy
It is precisely because of participating in educational writing that I can get to know more outstanding people. Several of them checked in at the education walking camp Teachers who have been teaching for more than 300 days, so as time goes by, they reach a certain height. What I really expect is that I will become confident, my language will become fluent, my thinking will become agile, and my ability to capture information will be greatly improved. So these are the results of reading and writing. And learn more from them, and the bravery of active participation is also the best way for superiors to show their abilities. In fact, communicating with people is also a skill! With the development of the Internet age, communication between people may be more likely to occur on the county line, or it is possible to get to know a person through text. WeChat communication is also inevitable, but people with positive energy often To inspire, illuminate and lead.
3. Listen to more educational theories and knowledge
The first forum of Education Walk will start soon. There will be 11 sessions in one ***, and five people will participate in online sharing in each session. .
Three teachers participated in the online sharing, one moderator, one poster maker, and five people from each group. It officially kicked off on October 16. We have to promote in the group every day. This is the fifth time for our group Share, but the host has not yet been decided. If it doesn’t work, you have to do it yourself. The opportunity to share online is really rare! I was also reading the book "Teacher's Mission", and I was also reading this book during the reading sharing meeting. One day I found that it was signed by Teacher Zhang. I thought I bought a pirated copy. This is a comparative book. Down-to-earth books are closely related to our current education. I am also writing about my experience in writing this book, but I haven’t had the courage to share it yet. Be prepared for the moment, persevere, and look forward to different results!
