Early life:
Dario Garland was born in Gary, Indiana. He started playing baseball and basketball at the age of five, but he soon turned his attention to basketball.
In the third grade, he joined Bryce Drew's basketball camp in Indiana, and Bryce Drew later became Garland's head coach at Vanderbilt University. In the fourth grade, Garland joined the AAU team in Nashville and began to play against older players. After Garland finished the sixth grade, the family moved back to their hometown in Tennessee, and Garland chose to join brentwood College to pursue his dream.
