The front is a standing victory statue, which is stipulated by the International Olympic Committee, but before 2004, medals were victory statues sitting on chariots. The back is inlaid with a piece of jade, and in the middle are the symbols of the Beijing Olympic Games-the Chinese seal and the Olympic rings, as well as the pinyin of the words Beijing and 2008.
