Protect the frozen soil environment and protect the plateau vegetation.
In order to effectively protect the plateau vegetation in the construction area, the contractors of China Railway Corporation rationally plan the construction access road, construction site, borrow and spoil yard and construction camp, strictly optimize the site selection of temporary land, control the occupied area, minimize the construction of roads in vegetated areas, and restrict the activities of construction personnel and mechanical vehicles; Vegetation transplantation and topsoil preservation are carried out, that is, turf or topsoil is shoveled and stored in one place during construction, and then put back to its original place after the project is completed, so as to promote or lay the foundation for vegetation restoration. In order to solve the technical problems in the protection and restoration of plateau alpine environment, experimental studies were carried out on plateau vegetation restoration, subgrade slope vegetation construction technology, alpine meadow vegetation restoration and reconstruction, and large-scale subgrade slope grass planting experiments and vegetation restoration experiments were carried out in Tuotuohe, Amdo, Dangxiong and other areas above 4,500 meters above sea level, all of which were successful, setting a precedent for the success of artificial grass planting experiments in alpine plateau areas of the world.
Protection of wild animals
On the traditional wildlife migration route, a special wildlife passage has been opened, with a cumulative length of nearly 60 kilometers. Every Tibetan antelope migration season, take the initiative to stop work and make way.
Protect wetlands, water resources and environment
In order to ensure that the ecological function of the headwaters of rivers is not affected and effectively protect the ecological environment of wetlands, China Railway Corporation has formulated a special eco-environmental protection construction organization design scheme, and it is forbidden to pile up harmful substances such as garbage and construction waste near rivers and ditches. Production wastewater and domestic sewage are used for greening or dust suppression after centralized precipitation treatment, and it is strictly forbidden to be discharged into river waters, effectively preventing the pollution of water resources and wetlands.
Disposal of production and domestic garbage
The garbage along the line is divided into degradable and non-degradable garbage, the degradable garbage is buried in situ, and the non-degradable garbage is transported to the mountain dump for treatment.
Prevention and control of soil erosion
Strictly control the disturbance area to the surface; Abandoning soil and slag shall follow the principle of retaining first and then abandoning, and the main works and protection works shall be constructed at the same time.
