China Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo China 20 10 China Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo (abbreviated as China Pavilion) is the theme pavilion representing China in Shanghai World Expo 20 10, which is located in the core area of the Expo site. The architectural appearance of China Pavilion is based on the theme of "Crown of the East, Prosperous China, Granary of the World, Enriching the People", which represents the spirit and temperament of China culture. Among them, "China Red", as the main color of architecture, has a calm atmosphere and is easy to be understood by the world. The towering national pavilion echoes the regional pavilions distributed horizontally on the ground to reflect the corresponding relationship between "heaven" and "earth" in eastern philosophy. At the same time, the overall shape of the National Pavilion is based on the ancient wooden barrels in China, and draws inspiration from the bronzes in Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, but there are no beams, beams and wedges interspersed with each other. On the outer wall of the regional pavilion, the ancient overlapping seal script of China is also used to convey the information of the 24 solar terms. The urban garden whose roof platform is named "New Jiuzhou Qingyan" introduced the concept of "Jiuzhou Qingyan" in Yuanmingyuan. Among them, the first of the nine continents is the National Pavilion, named Yong, and the other eight continents are named Tian, Ze, Yu, Ling, Lin, Dian, He and Mo respectively. The boundary of architecture is integrated into the concept of Jiangnan garden, weakening the relationship between architecture and city. Technology Application China Pavilion has adopted some advanced technologies to conform to the concept of environmental protection. Windows and doors are all made of low-emissivity coated glass (Low-E glass), which can reflect heat and reduce energy consumption. The rainwater collection system on the top floor can purify rainwater for flushing toilets or vehicles. The overburden of the platform of the regional pavilion can save energy 10%.
