The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival is a genre painting created by Zhang Zeduan, a court painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. He vividly described the street view of Tokyo, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, on silk. There are many people in the painting with different identities, including officials, literati, vendors, civilians, Taoist priests and so on. They wear different clothes, such as hoes, hats, backs, robes and trousers, which are the embodiment of the daily wear of people in the Northern Song Dynasty.
