Yunnan Province, referred to as "Yun" or "Dian" for short, is one of the 23 provinces in China, located in the southwest of China, with Kunming as its capital. It is between 218 ′ ~ 2915 ′ north latitude and 97 31′ ~1061′ east longitude. It borders Guizhou and Guangxi in the east, Sichuan in the north and Tibet in the northwest.
Ranked eighth in the country. Yunnan Province is one of the provinces with the longest border in China, and 25 border counties in 8 states (cities) border Myanmar, Laos and Viet Nam respectively.
Yunnan Province is a low-latitude inland area, with the Tropic of Cancer running across the south, with high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast, and gradually descending from north to south.
