In 2008, Huaihua's GDP reached about 50 billion, with a growth rate of 13%, which was higher than that of the whole province 12.8%. The local fiscal revenue was 3.5 billion, ranking first in the province. These figures are basically within my expectation. Huaihua still maintains the leading position in the whole western Hunan region and the surrounding five provinces and cities.
Since 2009, Huaihua has really entered the track of leap-forward development. Secretary Li Yilong pointed out that the government's work target this year is that the growth rate of Huaihua's total economic output is 1.5 percentage points higher than the overall level of Hunan Province and 3 percentage points higher than the national average, which I think is completely achievable. In 2008, Huaihua has enough articles to do in the troika of investment, consumption and export that will stimulate economic growth. The contracted investment projects in Huaihua are about 80 billion yuan (excluding key national projects in Huaihua), most of which will start construction this year, such as Datang Huayin 30 billion energy base, Xinjiapo 4 billion national eco-industrial park, Huaihua Hong Kong and Macao Science and Technology Park and Tuokou 6 billion hydropower station. In terms of national key projects: in 2009, there are three expressways under construction in Huaihua with a total investment of 30 billion yuan (Huaiji, Huaitong and Huailou), and the Huaihua section of the Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line with an investment of 20 billion yuan will start construction in Huaihua. The construction of major projects will greatly stimulate the development of Huaihua building materials industry. At the same time, Wahaha Huaihua production base will be completed and put into operation in April, and Hong Kong Jingda Clothing Huaihua Base will also be put into use soon after the construction is completed. The added value of Huaihua's large-scale industry will maintain the highest growth rate in the province this year. In terms of consumption, the total growth rate of social consumption retail products in Huaihua ranks first in Hunan Province this year, which I think has a lot to do with the surge in population in Huaihua this year. With the opening of the ring road this year, the urban area of Huaihua has increased from 40 square kilometers to 80 square kilometers now, and the population of the central city has increased by 654.38 million a year, reaching 520,000. In 2009, with the development of Huaihua's urban taste and economy, consumption-driven economic growth is still a bright spot.
In 20 10, it is predicted that the economic growth rate of Huaihua will be the fastest since the establishment of the city. This year, all major projects with a total investment of 100 billion will be started, and the Huai-Shao-Heng Railway and Huai Yu Line 2 Railway will be started. Huaihua's GDP growth rate is expected to reach 15%, which is 3 percentage points higher than the overall level of Hunan Province.
20 1 1, Huaihua will be the most beautiful year. After four years of rapid development, the achievements of Huaihua's economic construction will initially appear. Nearly 200 high-rise buildings in the urban area were completed, the main works of the square in front of the railway station and the riverside scenery belt were completed, the Hong Kong/KLOC-0.2 billion Fuxing Pedestrian Street was completed, the main high-rise buildings in Hongyu New Town were capped, and the Huaihua Third Ring Expressway was basically completed. Huaihua's metropolitan framework has basically taken shape. Huaihua's GDP has reached about10 billion.

In 20 13, Huai Yu Line 2, Huaishaoheng Railway and Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line were fully connected. Huaihua will realize the Shinkansen era of 1.5 hours to Guiyang and Changsha, 2 hours to Wuhan and Kunming, and 4 hours to Guangzhou and Shanghai (mainly relying on the Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line).
Personally, in five years, Huaihua will become a real regional center and the only big city in western Hunan.
