1917 In May, Huang Yanpei contacted 48 famous figures in education and industry, including Cai Yuanpei, Zhang Jian, Yan Xiu, Shen Enfu, Jiang and Mu 'ou Primary School, and initiated the establishment of China Vocational Education Society in Shanghai. As the first national educational organization in China's modern educational history, it initiated and implemented vocational education. At the beginning of the establishment of vocational education society, it began to actively prepare for the establishment of vocational schools. 19 18 In September, the Vocational Education Agency rented a 7.5-mu wasteland near Jiabang, Shanghai, built a school building, and founded China Vocational School, which is a full-time vocational middle school that mainly trains intermediate technical and management talents for the industrial and commercial departments. Courses such as ironwork, carpentry, enamel, buttons, diligent study abroad, commerce, machinery, petroleum machinery, etc. have been opened successively, and it is proposed that in teaching, the academic system of combining work with study should be adopted, which not only pays attention to the study and cultivation of students' professional knowledge and skills, but also emphasizes the cultivation of students' excellent professional ethics, requiring students to have "golden personality and iron discipline". During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the school was divided into two schools: Shanghai and Chongqing. Shanghai School was once renamed the College of Business Arts. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the name of China Vocational School was restored. 1952 the school was taken over by the central Ministry of light industry and changed into a subordinate school. From 1953, machinery, civil engineering, commerce and petroleum moved to Ning, Jin and Xi 'an. Shanghai was renamed Food Industry School, and the name of China Vocational School was used until 1952.
