Taiyuan Metro Line 2 is the first subway line in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, China. On March 20 16, construction started in an all-round way, and the first phase of the project (Jiancaoping Station to Xiqiao Station) was opened on February 26, 2020, with the logo color of China Red.

The first phase of Taiyuan Metro Line 2 starts from jiancaoping district Jiancaoping Station in the north, passes through Xinghualing District and yingze district, and ends at xiaodian district Xiqiao Station in the south, passing through Renmin Road, Changzhi Road, Jiefang Road and other central roads in Taiyuan.

The train of Taiyuan Metro Line 2 is made by CRRC Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., which is a type A stainless steel vehicle and adopts fully automatic driverless technology. Compared with the traditional aluminum alloy car body, stainless steel car body not only has higher corrosion resistance, but also has lower operation and maintenance costs, and has the characteristics of low carbon, environmental protection, safety, reliability and comfort.

Taiyuan Metro Line 2 is equipped with 24 trains, with a conductor length of 140m and a width of 3m. The marshalling method is 6-section marshalling, with 5 pairs of passenger doors and 2 air conditioners for a single train. Each train * * * has 336 seats, with a capacity of 1984 and a full capacity of 2534. The top speed of the train is 80 kilometers per hour.
