Third session
It was held in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany from August 65438 to August 23, 1978. The events include swimming, diving and water polo (male 15, female 14). * * * 828 athletes participated.
Fourth session
Held in aguirre from July 29th to August 8th, 1982. There are three events in the competition: swimming, diving and water polo (men 15 and women 14). * * * A total of 848 athletes participated in the competition.
Fifth session
Held in Madrid, Spain from August 1986 to August 23rd 16. Synchronized swimming was added as a formal event for the first time in this competition, and the World Swimming Championships was changed to four events (male and female 16). At the same time, women's water polo has also become an official event. 1 1 19 athletes participate in the competition.
Sixth session
Held in Perth, Australia from199113. For the first time, open water swimming was added as a formal event, and the World Swimming Championships became five events (male and female 16), with a total of 1 142 athletes participating.
Seventh session

Eighth session
1998 65438+/kloc-0 was held in Perth, Australia from October 8 to 17, which was the second time that the city hosted the World Swimming Championships. This year's synchronized diving event officially entered the World Championships.
Ninth session
2001July 16-29 in Fukuoka, Japan. With the men's and women's backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly entering the official competition, the number of gold medals in swimming has increased to 40. Starting from this session, the World Swimming Championships will be held every two years.
Tenth session
On July 27th, 2003, 12 was held in Barcelona, Spain, and the main venue of this competition was Mondrick Stadium. The competition consists of five major events (swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, open water swimming and water polo) and 62 minor events. Participating countries and regions 160, with about 2400 athletes.
Eleventh session
Nine people broke eight swimming world records in the World Swimming Championships, making this competition an amazing world championship. The United States topped the medal list with 17 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 6 bronze medals, while the Australian team ranked second with 13 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 4 bronze medals, and China ranked third with 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.
Twelfth session
It was held in Melbourne, Australia from March 6 to April 6, 2007. During the competition, swimming, diving, open water swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo competitions were held. 2000 athletes from 175 countries (regions) participated in the competition, making it one of the largest international sports events.
Thirteenth session
On July 9, 2009, the 13 World Swimming Championships officially opened in Rome, which is also the largest swimming world championships in history. There were 183 delegations and more than 2,800 athletes participated in this competition.
Fourteenth session
The 14th World Swimming Championships opened in Shanghai on 20 1 1 on July 6th. This is the first time that the 38-year-old World Swimming Championships have come to the most populous country in the world. Nearly 3000 athletes from 18 1 countries and regions will take part in this competition.

The 15th World Swimming Championships was held in Barcelona, Spain from July, 1965 to August, 4, 1965.
Sixteenth session
16 FINA World Championship was held in Tatarstan, Russian Federation and Kazan, the capital of China, from July 24th to August 9th, 20th15. This is the first time that Russia has hosted this event.
Seventeenth session
On July 6th, 2007, FINA Swimming World Championships opened in Budapest, Hungary.
