In literature, some writers consciously let literature serve the Reform Movement. Liang Qichao first put forward the slogans of "revolution in the field of poetry" and "revolution in the field of novels", and advocated the innovation of poetry and novels to meet the needs of bourgeois to improve real politics, which reflected people's requirements for new ideas and new cultures and played a positive role in promoting the emergence and development of "new poetry", the improvement of novel status and the prosperity of creation. His prose is fluent and unrestrained, paving the way for the style liberation in the late Qing Dynasty and the later vernacular movement.
