Hangsheng Company was founded in 1993, and it has been 28 years now. It's neither long nor short. Although we have a dream: we want to be a century-old enterprise, but we think it is still a teenager. Since its establishment, it has established five production bases in Beijing, Shenzhen, Jiangxi, Henan and Guangxi all over the country. At present, our sales are around 5 billion, and Hangsheng has a slogan: Almost one in four cars in China uses Hangsheng's products. At present, our total assets are less than 5 billion, which is probably the case.
At present, Hangsheng has changed from a manufacturing enterprise to a software and hardware enterprise after years of development. Since 2007, it has become a nationally recognized enterprise technology center, and also won the provincial governor quality award and the mayor quality award. There are only three enterprises in Shenzhen that have won both the Governor's Quality Award and the Mayor's Quality Award, namely Huawei, ZTE and Hangsheng. That's about it.
In recent years, we have paid special attention to software research and development. In the last five years, we have successively established research institutes in Yangzhou, Chengdu and Wuhan. The purpose of establishing a research institute is to improve the research and development strength of software. There are 300-200 R&D teams in these places to develop software. At present, the whole R&D team has reached 1200 people, not including engineering and technical personnel, that is, people engaged in engineering and technical work.
Our customers are also quite extensive. When Sheng Gang Airlines was founded, we originally supplied Hafei and Changhe because we were from a military enterprise. So far, we have covered three major departments: European, Japanese and American, including supplying China enterprises and three major Japanese automobile companies: Toyota, Honda and Nissan. These are our customers. Today, in Dongfeng Nissan's native land, a considerable part of Dongfeng Nissan's products are provided by Hangsheng, because it is hard to say here, which is probably such a concept.
Originally, Chairman Yang gave a speech in person today, but in order to ensure delivery in the past two years, the Chairman and General Manager have been staring at the front line. What are they looking at? Staring at the chip, how can I guarantee a confession? So everyone stared and sent me to give a speech. In addition to customers in Japan and Europe, French PSA is also our customer.
In the past two years, from last year to now, we actually didn't make any money on PSA. Why? The freight basically ate up all our income, also because of the chip. Last year, nothing came out because of the epidemic. Basically, about 500 or 600 units were produced and transported to Europe by plane. Under such circumstances, it will be a long time this year. It will be shipped there in a month or two, and the rest will be transported by plane, which is very expensive. But even under such circumstances, even if airlines are losing money, we must ensure the supply of global products.
Hangsheng has won many honors in recent years. We are the winners of Shenzhen Mayor Quality Award and Guangdong Provincial Governor Quality Award. At the same time, we have also undertaken many social responsibilities. We are the president of Shenzhen Quality Association. At the same time, it is also the founding president unit of automotive electronics association; It is also the president unit of the intelligent network industry promotion association. A very important reason why we are willing to do these things is that we believe that only altruism can benefit ourselves, which is a simple way of prosperity. Just now I talked about the simple situation of Hangsheng, and then I will talk about some technologies of smart car core development.
I want to say it briefly, because several big bosses have made it very clear just now, so I won't go into details. Basically, smart cars have several characteristics, which have formed multi-standards and commercialization, and the penetration rate has been greatly improved. Under such circumstances, the future of smart cars will come in the next 10- 15 years, which is basic.
The second point, that is to say, the development of smart cars is in line with the development trend of cars in the world. China's advantages are more suitable for automobile development. What is this core layer? For example, in China, we concentrated our efforts on major events and vigorously promoted the development of the automobile industry. The next 10- 15 is the golden age of China's automobile field, and it is an opportunity to grow from big to strong. This is my opinion.
The third point, that is, under the action of "four modernizations", will further accelerate the development of smart cars. From a technical point of view, we put forward three viewpoints. The first is the software-defined car, which will fundamentally promote cars, especially smart cars, both in quantity and quality. The second is the chip-based car, and the domain controller is the future development direction. The first two are for autonomous driving. I talked a lot about why the car made of chips is likely to be the most used scene in the future, or that the biggest customer of chips in the future is cars, not yet, but now consumer electronics. In the future, there will be more and more application scenarios of automobiles in this field, but chips, especially in-vehicle chips, are quite difficult to serve. Why is there a shortage of chips? People don't like it, and there are still many problems. Now the consumer electronics are easy to use, and they are all taken. The future car chip must be the most important scene in the future, which is why many chip companies dare not despise us.
The third concept is that data changes cars. In fact, creating the third space or the fourth screen has been mentioned for many years, but I personally think that the fourth screen is definitely not like the so-called mobile phone screen or mobile phone screen. This screen may subvert the concept of the first three screens. For a simple example, an APP we created is defined as a music scene in a car. When this thing is defined in a certain car, the music released is suitable for this car, not for Mercedes-Benz, not for others, but it is like entering your own concert hall in this car, which can release Beethoven's sadness, Schubert's elegance and lyricism. For another example, many high-tech Tesla players now have game functions. The game function is a 3D and 4D concept. It can use the chassis, front glass and power system of the car to produce real things, and it becomes a game machine, but it is not a game machine. Our screen has become a game hall. Therefore, the future fourth screen is a great challenge to the development of automobiles.
From this point of view, this screen is a very magical screen, which subverts everyone's imagination and even changes the whole human lifestyle, not only the way of travel, but also our lifestyle will change greatly. So in such an interactive and interconnected situation, if smart travel is added, we believe that this industry will have great opportunities in the future. Faced with such a situation, what should the industry do in the future? In the past, it has been focusing on the field of cockpit electronics. At first, cockpit electronics began with radio, then CD and DVD, and now it is an intelligent cockpit with a clear screen and automatic parking system, or in the concept of cockpit electronics. On this basis, we have increased the research and development of autonomous driving in recent years. We started with the driver assistance system and gradually extended it to other fields. At the same time, we also served on the platform. It is the software that has made many attempts to define a car. On this basis, we also sold our software products to many car factories and sold them in batches. It should reach 1 100 million this year.
As early as ten years ago, we introduced the new energy team, and now we are a new energy store, so we do it from this perspective. Therefore, under the current situation, we keep the main force in electronics, continue to increase investment, and increase auxiliary systems, new energy and software systems. Here are our products, so I won't go into details.
At present, under such circumstances, in the case of intelligent driving, the most important challenges we encounter are as follows. One is the talent challenge, which is the core challenge. This challenge comes from both peers in the industry and from outside the region, especially from some enterprises outside the region. If they want to dig people, they must dig from these people. The second is that the chip is "stuck in the neck". Now the boss is scrambling for chips on the battlefield. In the future, chips will become more and more scarce and must be controlled independently. So how to do this challenge? The third is actually a change in the smart car industry. Many high-tech companies are doing these things. How do we deal with them? So in such a situation, we have such an idea. First, introducing high-end talents is to form a moat. The second is to form strategic cooperation with the chip market. The reason why we are slightly better than other companies this year is that we are definitely not the first company without chips, that is, we established strategic alliances with many chip manufacturers several years ago, which is a key factor.
Third, in the face of so many new technology companies, we adopt an open attitude. We hope to cooperate with you. We have good manufacturing ability, industrialization ability, cost control ability and so on, and can create favorable conditions with various car factories.
We have always had a dream, that is, to be the boss of smart car electronics. We have been working hard, although it is very hard, but we are still moving forward. Finally, I want to raise two topics. I just talked about one.
One is smart cars and carbon neutrality. Just now, Wang Chuang talked about the concept of carbon neutrality of 10% GDP, and the carbon dioxide produced is produced by cars. What is not included here is the carbon dioxide produced in automobile manufacturing, including automobile electronic products manufacturing, which is far more than this figure. If our colleagues here can find opportunities here, I think they will find opportunities here, and the experience of the past 70 years has repeatedly told us that as long as we listen to the party and follow it, there will be great prospects. Ren Hui made a fortune on that matter, and many of them are such examples. Under the circumstances that the Party Central Committee proposed the peak of carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality, I listened to Wang Chuang's words, which was very exciting and practical. In other words, companies that make automotive electronics and auto parts have the greatest opportunities. If we can meet a link and a small matter, we may all be a big enterprise. Because this industry is not a one-size-fits-all industry, it can produce many small enterprises. This is the first point I want to share with you.
Second, although I put forward a very mysterious concept, I don't understand the meta-universe. Like the blockchain in the previous two years, I don't understand the blockchain. This is a technology. The core competitiveness of enterprises in the future is neither a management model nor a virtual corporate culture. The above is the source of the core technology of the enterprise I want to talk about. Therefore, if we can master a brand-new core technology in the future, this enterprise will have a bright future and become an enterprise.
