Wang Anshi also knows that the road to political reform has a long way to go and there are many obstacles. When compiling the Spring and Autumn Annals, Confucius recorded in detail the abnormal phenomena in nature, such as earthquakes, landslides, comets, eclipses and serious natural disasters, and linked these abnormal phenomena in nature with the political events of the ruling class. Dong Zhongshu, a famous Confucian in the Western Han Dynasty, simply legalized this argument out of political needs and put forward the so-called idea of "harmony between man and nature", which was praised by all previous dynasties.

Just like this, at the beginning of Wang Anshi's new law, the big landlord class, represented by officials, gentry and powerful men, and the stubborn and conservative bureaucratic ministers in the DPRK all threatened the young Emperor Zongshen with the theory of "natural change" and prevented the implementation of the new law.

Facing the old school's remarks that the implementation of the new law is hindered by feudal superstition of "natural change" Wang Anshi came prepared. He retorted: "The Yang Qi of Yin and Yang of the sun, the moon and the stars, and the changes of the shapes of everything in the mountains and hills all have their own laws, which can be explained by data reasoning. There is no necessary connection between the so-called "heaven", "earth" and "people". "
People's words are unsympathetic, and die-hards' public opinion is suppressed. The fundamental purpose of Wang Anshi's political reform is to "make the soldiers rich and strong". Let's not talk about Qiang Bing for a while. Let's talk about rich countries first. The so-called rich country, on the one hand, refers to the strong financial resources of the central government, on the other hand, it is the improvement of the economic income of the broad masses of people. In the feudal agricultural economy and society, most of the central government's revenue depended on agricultural taxes, but in the Song Dynasty at that time, due to the deepening of land annexation, most of the country's wealth was in the hands of big bureaucrats and big landlords, thus forming a situation in which the gap between the rich and the poor gradually widened, and the peasants, who accounted for a large proportion of the country's total population, had far less wealth.
Therefore, in order to achieve the established goal of enriching the country, Wang Anshi's primary task in the political reform is to prevent small landlords and peasants from being merged and eroded by big landlords and bureaucrats. However, this inevitably touches these vested interests, and as the spokesmen of this class, officials, gentlemen and doctors will inevitably stand up and make a big noise and protest.
Of course, Wang Anshi's "unkind" attitude towards these "love stories" is aimed at those pedantic Confucian scholars who resolutely oppose political reform from the standpoint of officials, gentry and gentry. Regarding their remarks, on the one hand, Wang Anshi respected them, on the other hand, he actively visited them. Whenever a new law is implemented, he will extensively solicit the opinions of officials and farmers, and clearly stipulate that the new law can only be implemented under the condition that "the people are no different."
The ancestors lacked the law, and the die-hards resolutely safeguarded the family law of the Song Dynasty. When Confucius was in the state of Lu, he repeatedly proposed "imitating the Zhou Dynasty" and "imitating the Zhou Dynasty", arguing that everything should abide by the laws formulated by Zhou Wenwang, Zhou Wuwang and Duke Zhou.
