The school was founded on 1947. 195 1, Guangdong Provincial Health Department renamed the school "Guangdong Sixth Medical School", 1994 renamed it "Guangdong Lianzhou Health School".

Lianzhou Vocational and Technical School (formerly Beishan Vocational Middle School), formerly known as Lianxian Jinfeng Agricultural Technical School founded by 1958, was renamed as Lianzhou Beishan Vocational and Technical Middle School in July 2002. In July 2004, Lianzhou Vocational and Technical School was merged into Lianzhou Health School.
With the approval of the Provincial Department of Education, Lianzhou Health School has jointly held specialized courses in clinical medicine, maternal and child health care and medical laboratory with Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences since 1993.
