The school emblem of Peking University was designed by Mr. Lu Xun in August 19 17. The two seal characters of "Peking University" are arranged up and down, in which the word "North" constitutes two portraits standing back to back, and the word "Big Character" constitutes a portrait standing in front.
The school emblem highlights a school-running concept, that is, universities should be "people-oriented", and universities are big because of masters and big because of college students. Its symbolic significance is that Peking University should shoulder the great mission of enlightening the people.
