How did Li Zicheng enter Xi 'an?
In September of the 16th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1643), Li Zicheng commanded the peasant uprising army to defeat the Ming army commanded by Sun Chuanting in Xiangcheng and Nanyang, Henan Province, then attacked Tongguan in the west and occupied Xi 'an in the near future. In the first month of the following year, Li Zicheng changed Xi 'an to Xijing, established Dashun regime and changed its name to Yongchang. On the basis of the original institutions in Xiangyang, political organizations at all levels have been expanded, with Liu Zongmin and Tian Jianxiu as generals and blades as generals, who are in charge of the military; Shang Xiang, Zuo Fu and You Bi are in charge of administration, and there are six departments, namely, officials, households, ceremonies, soldiers, punishments and workers. Each department has ministers and assistant ministers. There are university God Blessing Temple, Hong Wen Pavilion, Wenyu Academy, Ambassador Zheng Zhi and other official positions. Yan 'an House was changed to Tianbao House, Mizhi County to Tianbao County, casting Yongchang money, recruiting talents and fabricating Shen Jiali. Thus, a powerful peasant army regime with Xi' an as the center against the Ming Dynasty was established.
