China has hosted two Asian Winter Games before, namely 1996 in Harbin and 2007 in Changchun. Next year will be the second Asian Winter Games in Harbin. The opening ceremony of Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Sports Center will be held on February 7th, and the closing ceremony will be held on February14th. Harbin Asian Winter Games has 6 major events, 1 1 minor events and 64 minor events. The six major events are biathlon, curling, ice hockey, skating, skiing and skiing mountaineering. All six events have men's and women's events, and some have mixed events. Speed skating will produce the most 14 gold medals in all events, followed by short track speed skating, which will produce 9 gold medals.
