Hubei province, referred to as "Hubei" for short, is also called "the province of thousands of lakes". Located in the middle of China, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It is named because it is located in the north of Dongting Lake, 29 05 ′ to 33 20 ′ north latitude and108 21′ to16 07 ′ east longitude. China has five famous historical and cultural cities: Wuhan, Jingzhou, Xiangyang, Suizhou and Zhongxiang. Qu Yuan was born in Zigui County; Known as the "eighth wonder of the East", Zeng Houyi's chime was unearthed in Leigudun, Suizhou, and the ancient mining and smelting site of Tonglushan was the peak of ancient bronze smelting technology. The sword of Gou Jian, King of Yue, and Panlongcheng of Shang Dynasty were unearthed in Jingchu. Exquisite lacquer paintings, woodcarving products and ancient silk are mostly unearthed in Jiangling, Jingzhou. The hometown of Li Shizhen, a great doctor in Ming Dynasty, Taoist architecture and martial arts in Wudang Mountain, and the hometown of Wang Zhaojun, a representative of China culture, are all famous for their unique cultural connotations. There are also three countries represented by Jingzhou Ancient City, Puyin Chibi, Xiangyang Gulongzhong and Dangyang Changbanpo with profound cultural connotations.
