Ethirimol, ethirimol sulfonate, kresoxim-methyl, myclobutanil, ether, pyridine, flupirimipram, trifloxystrobin, azoxystrobin and fluoroamide can be used to control melon powdery mildew.

Melon downy mildew can be sprayed with azoxystrobin, dimethomorph and kasugamycin, and can also be sprayed with metalaxyl manganese zinc, Yinfali, cymoxanil manganese zinc, oxadiazon cymoxanil and Zhongshengmycin.

Melon root rot can be prevented and controlled by irrigation with metalaxyl, ethylicin and methcathinone, or Bacillus subtilis, metalaxyl and humic acid foliar fertilizer, or copper complex, or methyl chloropicrin or pentachloronitrobenzene.
