1573 (the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), because there were many ancient Sophora japonica trees in the village, it was renamed Dahuaishu Village. Before 177 1 year (thirty-six years of Qingganlong), it was divided into three big Sophora villages: south, north and middle.
1904 (in the 30th year of Guangxu reign of Qing dynasty), after Jinan opened its ports for trade, the three major Huaishuzhuang (south, north and middle) gradually became urban residential areas.
1947 The name of Hu Aishu Village in South, North and Zhong Da was revoked, and its central streets were renamed as Huaishu Street in South, Huaishu Street in North and Huaishu Street in Zhong Da respectively.
After liberation, Hu Aishu South Street, North Street, Hu Aishu South Street, North Street, Huaicun Street, Huaiyin Street and other streets and lanes were successively derived. 1955 according to the instruction of "municipal districts should be changed to place names" in the State Council, the sixth district with more streets and lanes named after Sophora japonica was changed to Huaiyin district.
