Since the appearance of Yamaha YZF-R 1, the world has officially started to be chaotic. Various automobile manufacturers have been working hard to develop super sports cars that are more profitable and exaggerate the ratio of horsepower to weight.
In the next eight years, the title of the first-class sports car has changed: Honda has CBR929RR/CBR954RR/CBR1000RR, Kawasaki has ZX-9R and two generations of ZX-1000, and Suzuki's GSX-R 1000 was also launched in 2007. The initiator YZF-R 1 also released the fifth generation of works in 2007. In addition to running fast, super sports cars are also fast! As a car owner, it will inevitably make car manufacturers hesitate between you and me. Don't want to buy a car and find it is an old one a year or two later? Just wait and see ... but when will new cars keep coming out?
Nowadays, high-performance sports cars pay more attention to electronic technology to control the details of engine breathing and ignition. Yamaha, as a car factory that pays attention to the relationship between people and cars, thinks that electronic technology alone is not enough. . What is GENICH? The English full name is "the origin of electronic engineering aimed at innovative control technology based on human sensitivity", and the Chinese meaning is ... make a bold attempt and apply the slogan of shanzhai mobile phone as "innovative technology, people-oriented":)
Motorcycles developed with the concept of "G.E.N.I.C.H" include M 1 factory cars participating in motogp, YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Control Throttle) electronic throttle equipped with YZF-R6, and YCC-I (Yamaha Chip Control) first adopted by YZF-R 1 in 2007. YCC-I will make a long intake stroke to improve the intake inertia when the engine is running at low speed, and shorten the intake stroke to reduce the intake inertia when the engine is running at high speed, thus creating the best intake flow at different speeds. It is a high-tech equipment to improve performance and driving pleasure.
YCC- 1 can change the length of the intake pipe. The secret is that the air inlet is actually composed of two sets of ducts. When the engine is running at a low speed, the upper and lower air ducts are connected to form an intake duct with a length of 140 mm. When the engine speed and throttle opening exceed a certain point, the upper and lower air ducts will separate, and the length of the intake duct is only 65mm of the lower air duct. According to Yamaha, YCC-I is simple and light in structure, durable and light in weight.
In 2007, R 1 adopted a brand-new engine, frame and morphine line. Although the cylinder diameter and stroke data of the new engine are 77 x 53.6mm as in R 1 in 2006, all other details have been changed. In addition to the titanium alloy wow legs and the new water tank, the most interesting thing is that R 1 abandoned the previous three-in and two-out engine valve settings, but switched to the traditional two-in and two-out four-valve engine. However, the compression ratio of the combustion chamber is increased to 12.7: 1, equipped with YCC-T electronic throttle and YCC-I chip to control the air intake system:180ps/12,500 rpm, which can output no matter the ram air. The output is more linear than before and the torque distribution is wider, which is an achievement. 5ps horsepower output has also increased.
Like the R 1 SP in 2006, the R1in 2007 is equipped with a one-way sliding center of gravity, which can prevent the traction of the tail wheel from flowing back to the engine crankshaft when the car is shut down quickly, thus improving the durability of the engine gearbox and making the car body behave more stably when dragging waves into corners. What is the throat coming out from under the seat? The brand-new design ensures the attractive appearance, and is equipped with oxygen sensor and three-touch catalysis. The resistance of the ignition coil is also reduced and the firepower is improved. The magnetic force in the coil is also strengthened to prevent magnetic saturation under long-term operation.
Delta box frame of R 1 is also a brand-new design, which adopts cast aluminum alloy and high-tension aluminum alloy to achieve better rigidity balance. The torsion resistance of the new aluminum alloy tail load is improved by 30%, but the side surface is slightly decreased. The design direction is to improve the bending performance of R 1. The head shock absorber shows a gain of 14%, which also reduces the possibility of fork oil flowing back and forth in the fork cylinder. Tail suspension damping adjustment is also divided into high and low speed independent settings. In 2007, R 1 used radioactive six-covered abalone, so the diameter of the head plate could be reduced from 320mm to 3 10mm.
In 2007, YZF-R 1 adopted a new and improved technology from MotoGP: YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Control Intake) electronic throttle. The engine changed from five steam valves per cylinder to four steam valves per cylinder, and the compression ratio was expanded to 12.7: 1, and the maximum horsepower reached 132.4kw( 180 horsepower). The lighter clutch and the six-piston radial front brake caliper are all changes of 07 R 1.

Tyre (front): 120/70 ZR 17
Tyre (rear):190/50zr17 The fourth-generation YZF-R 1 introduced in 2004 has not changed much from 2006 in appearance, only slightly changed the frame and engine top.
Firstly, the tension control system of cam transmission chain is improved to make it more airtight and durable. Secondly, the length of the gas valve is slightly shorter by 5mm than that of the gas valve in 2005. According to the manufacturer, the length is shortened by 15%. Combined with the shape modification of intake manifold, the intake speed of engine valve is higher.
In 2006, the horsepower output of R 1 increased slightly by three horses, and the compression ratio also increased slightly by 0. 1 to 12.4: 1. Without ram air, 175 HP/12500 rpm can still be achieved.
Although the frame of R 1 in 2006 is still the fifth generation Deltabox aluminum alloy frame, the torsional speed of R 1 frame in 2006 will be better balanced by changing the thickness of different parts of the frame. After thousands of hours of repeated test runs on the track and road, it is found that the rigidity of the main frame near the gooseneck is slightly reduced, and the position of the lower glasses and the part where the engine is connected with the upper frame is reduced, which will make the steering more agile, but it will not affect the stability of the frame at high speed.
In 2006, the rear rocker arm of R 1 was lengthened by 20mm, which made the axle center closer to the car body, reduced the impact on the rear shock absorber when the tension of the car chain changed, and shifted the center of gravity distribution to the head wheel by 1%. The longitudinal stiffness of the new frame remains unchanged, but the lateral stiffness is slightly reduced. According to the manufacturer, although all parts of the frame are slightly modified, the effect is very great when combined. 06 R 1 has good handling performance when attacking, accelerating or decelerating in corners.
While the iron is hot, Yamaha injected the 50th anniversary elements into YZF-R 1 in 2006. Classic yellow Hague racing flower with fluorescent lines on the rim makes it a classic YZFR 1, adding precious colors.
Yamaha launched a limited edition of 500 R 1-SP.
The coveted SP version has a lap timer, an Ohlins43mm inverted front fork and an Ohlins rear shock absorber, which can be adjusted to be higher than the seat height 10mm. The professional Ohlins suspension system has higher adjustability than the standard version and can adapt to the setting requirements of different tracks. The transmission system adopts anti-lock roller with slipper clutch, which is more suitable for competition. The roller also adopts the same forged lightweight Marchesini works as YZF-M 1, which is 400g lighter than the standard version. The tail throat is marked with a gold pattern.
Compared with the 2004' and 2005' versions, the horsepower of 2006YZF-R 1 increased by 3 horses, reaching 175, the body length increased by 20mm, and the net weight of the whole vehicle increased slightly, reaching 173 kg. The function of recording lap speed has also been added to the dashboard. The exterior design has infiltrated more traditional elements of Yamaha to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the factory.
