As one of the most influential Chinese gatherings in the world, Chengjiahui is an important carrier for Hakka folks at home and abroad to contact each other and conduct cross-border and cross-regional exchanges. It is also an important stage for Hakka people in various countries and regions to carry out economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

The World Hakka Congress originated from the first World Hakka Congress held by Hong Kong Chongzhen General Association on September 28th, 197 1. The 20th century was basically held every two years, and it has been held once a year since the 20th century. It has been held in Asia, the United States, Africa 1 1 countries and regions, and its scale has gradually expanded.

In 20 19, the theme song of the 30th World Expo "Hakka Hakka" composed by Chen Shanbao won the "Best Hakka Song of the Year", and everyone proposed to continue to use the 3 1 World Expo, which was shot by nearly 2,000 people from 180 guest societies and units in more than 50 cities in 6 countries and regions around the world.

The origin of the grand event

Hakka is an important and unique Han ethnic group in the big family of the Chinese nation. Since ancient times, the cultural spirit of mutual respect, unity and cooperation, pioneering and enterprising has been formed. Due to historical reasons, Hakkas are all over the world. The so-called "where there is sunshine, there are Chinese, and where there are Chinese, there are Hakkas".

Since the 20th century, many people of insight in Hakka have actively explored and practiced to meet this requirement and purpose, in order to contribute to the communication of rural friendship and the mutual assistance of villagers, especially the continuation and development of Hakka culture. Therefore, all kinds of Hakka communities and organizations with blood, geography, ethnic origin and industry origin have been established around the world, but for a long time, they have not been able to form a stage suitable for Hakka villagers to get together and socialize around the world.

On September 28th, 197 1, Hong Kong Chongzheng Club, the most influential guest organization in Hong Kong and even in the Asia-Pacific region, specially invited more than 250 representatives from 47 guest organizations around the world to celebrate its 50th anniversary and the inauguration ceremony of Chongzheng Building in Nathan Road International Restaurant and Happy Valley, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
