Romantic City is the brand slogan of Dalian, China. The full name is "Romantic City of Dalian, China". The slogan was put forward in 2006 to enhance Dalian's image and expand its influence. Dalian is a young and dynamic city with unique urban landscape construction and natural and cultural conditions, and many five-year tourist attractions.

Topography of Dalian:

The basic landform of Dalian is high in the middle, gradually decreasing to the east and west sides until the seaside, forming the landform of mountainous hilly peninsula. There is little difference in elevation and fluctuation height of positive landform in the whole region. Therefore, the terrain elevation is 800 meters above sea level as the dividing line between Zhongshan and low mountains, 400 meters above sea level as the dividing line between low mountains and hills, and 120 meters above sea level as the dividing line between hills and terraces.

The mountains are divided into Zhongshan and low mountains. Zhongshan mainly includes Buyun Mountain, Lao Heishan and Lao Maoshan. The specific height of the mountain varies greatly, and the slope of the mountain is generally between 25 and 35.

The low hills are distributed in contiguous or isolated islands, mainly including Ronghua Mountain, Guiyun Huashan, Maxie Mountain, Laobian Mountain, Yushu Silicon Mountain, Daheishan Mountain, Delis Mountain, Tuoshan Mountain and Laotieshan Mountain. The mountain is generally flat, and the top height is relatively neat, forming a planation plane, which is called "Pingshan surface". The highest peak is Buyun Mountain in zhuanghe city, with an altitude of 1 130m.

Hills are all over the region, with no obvious trend, and the mountains are round and gentle. The plain is underdeveloped, small in scale, and scattered in rivers and some valleys.
