1, router setup problem
2. Restricted router
3. There is something wrong with the router
Solution:
First, the router settings:
1. Line connection: The network interface on the router can be divided into two types: WAN interface and LAN interface. The connection between computer, router and optical cat is as follows:
(1) The network cable connected to the LAN interface of Optical Cat needs to be connected to the WAN interface of the router. If the broadband does not use optical cat, you need to plug the broadband network cable into the WAN interface of the router.
(2) Connect the computer to any LAN interface of the router with a network cable.
After connecting in the above way, it is normal that the computer can't surf the Internet temporarily, because there is no need for the computer to surf the Internet when setting up the router. Many white people find that they can't get online after connecting, thinking that the connection is wrong, thus changing the line connection mode of the router, leading to a series of problems.
2. Internet access mode selection error: When setting the router to access the Internet, you need to select the Internet access mode. If the Internet access mode in the router is selected incorrectly, there will be a problem of being unable to access the Internet after setting. Internet access mode will be called connection mode, networking mode, networking type and so on in some router settings pages.
3. Internet parameters are set incorrectly:
(1) When the Internet access mode is broadband dial-up, you need to fill in the broadband account and broadband password in the router. If you fill in the wrong form, you can't surf the internet after setting it up. On the receipt of broadband service, you can check the broadband account number and password. If the receipt is missing, you can call the customer service hotline for manual customer service inquiry.
(2) When the Internet access mode is automatic IP address acquisition (dynamic IP), it is necessary to ensure that the IP addresses of LAN and WAN interfaces are not in the same network segment.
(3) Internet access with fixed IP address (static IP) is generally provided by operators only when private broadband services are handled, and it is basically not used by individual home users.
2. Restrict the use of routers: Some local operators will restrict users from using routers. In this case, even if the routers are set correctly, they cannot access the Internet. In order to solve this problem, major router manufacturers also have corresponding solutions, that is, MAC address cloning needs to be set in the router, as follows:
(1) First of all, you need to use a computer connected to the optical cat and log in to the router settings page.
(2) In the setting page, find the options corresponding to WAN and MAC address or MAC address cloning and MAC address setting, and choose to use the MAC address of the current management PC.
Third, there is something wrong with the router.
Some routers have poor stability, which will lead to many problems and make it impossible to access the Internet. If the router is connected correctly, the Internet access mode and parameters are correct, but the Internet is still unavailable, it is likely that there is something wrong with the router itself. At this point, it is recommended to restore the router to the factory settings and reset it.
Extended data:
The optical fiber pulled by telecom or netcom will be connected to the optical fiber access box (similar to the function of "cat") to convert analog signals into digital signals.
After the optical fiber is connected to the optical fiber cat (the installer will complete the installation and debugging), the network cable coming out of the WAN port is directly connected to the network cable interface of the notebook, then the computer is turned on, click the broadband connection icon on the desktop of the computer, and enter the account password provided by the network service provider to dial. If you dial successfully, you can surf the internet.
Enter the IP of your home route in IE browser (for example, 192. 168. 1), and look at the label on the back of the router, which indicates the IP address. Of course, if it is not an address that conflicts with the optical cat, there will generally be no situation in which the route cannot be connected.
