Team history
1948 Pistons, who joined the NBA, initially settled in fort wayne. The Pistons, who played in the BAA League, joined the NBA with BAA. They reached the finals in succession at 1955 and 1956, but both failed in the end. It was not until 1957 that the pistons moved their home court to Detroit, until now.
For a long time after entering the NBA, the Pistons were all unknown teams and didn't make much achievements. Although rookie guard Bingo and center Ranier of 1966 once made them create some brilliance, they fell to the bottom again in the early 1980s, and the Pistons only won 16 games in the 1980 season. 198 1, Pistons won the second prize of "Smiling Assassin" isiah thomas. Two years later, a generation of handsome chuck daley entered Detroit. 1985, they got guard Joe Du Masi, plus Vinny Johnson, Dante, Bill ranbir and dennis rodman, and the Pistons entered.
The bulls led by Jordan and the Celtics, the eastern powerhouse, reached the finals all the way. Played seven games with the Lakers and finally missed the championship by three points. The following year, the Pistons made a comeback, and they beat the Bulls again in the playoffs. In the finals, they successfully retaliated by sweeping the Lakers 4-0 and won the NBA championship for the first time in history. 1990, they stepped on the bull's shoulder again and entered the finals, defeating the Blazers 4- 1 to successfully defend their title.
As the NBA entered the era of Jordan Bull Dynasty, the "bad boy" of Pistons fell apart and the team's record declined year after year. 1993 ended the history of 10 entering the playoffs. From then on, until the beginning of the 20th century, with the efforts of grant hill, stackhouse and Ben Wallace, the Pistons returned to the top teams. In the 2003-04 season, the Pistons, led by Larry Brown, regained the championship after a long absence of 14, relying on powerful stars such as Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Hamilton and Billups.
Because the boss is engaged in piston manufacturing, "piston" has become the name of the team. 1957, the team still uses this name after moving to Detroit.
The story begins like this: this is a very old legend. Once upon a time, in a very distant place, there was a great manufacturer of automobile pistons, Fred Jonah. He founded this club at 194 1 and named it Ford fort wayne Zorna Piston! !
Take it! ! ! I've been looking for it for a long time! !
