FAW is the first automobile factory in China. 1953 was established and introduced Soviet technology. Grandpa Mao personally founded the first automobile factory, which is the Jiefang brand car. In the 1970s, the Second Automobile Factory (Dongfeng) was established in Xiangfan under the slogan of Grandpa Mao's "borrowing from Dongfeng", which was entirely due to FAW. So far, FAW has a large scale and Dongfeng has made rapid reform and innovation.
