In recent years, the mechanism of airway inflammation in asthma and new methods of noninvasive diagnosis and clinical intervention have been deeply studied, and the results are remarkable: "β2 receptor abnormality in patients with bronchial asthma and its clinical significance" won the second prize of provincial scientific and technological progress; "Experimental research on diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma" won the third prize of provincial scientific and technological progress; "Experimental and Clinical Research on Airway Inflammation of Bronchial Asthma" won the third prize of medical science and technology in China and the second prize of scientific and technological progress in Nanjing. He has presided over 3 national natural science foundations, undertaken more than provincial and ministerial projects 10, published more than 200 related papers (including 4 in SCI 10), and participated in more than 0 international seminars10. In recent 8 years, we have taken the lead in organizing "Nanjing Asthma Home" to prevent and treat asthma, and achieved good results. Many patients with refractory asthma from other provinces come to our clinic or hospital for treatment.

2. Pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing.

The Sleep Respiratory Disorder Diagnosis and Treatment Center was established in 200 1, and it has purchased international advanced equipment such as multi-channel sleep monitor, PTT sleep respiratory monitor, plasma low-temperature radiofrequency ablation instrument and supporting servo automatic positive airway pressure ventilator. Every year, more than 1000 patients with sleep disorders are successfully diagnosed and treated, and more than 50 papers (including 8 SCI papers) have been published in domestic and foreign magazines, winning the domestic and foreign award 10, which is highly concerned and praised by colleagues at home and abroad. Undertaking the provincial international cooperation project 1, presiding over and participating in the national natural science foundation project 1, and presiding over two international seminars on sleep and respiratory disorders. The technical feature of our department in this field is the correlation between sleep apnea syndrome and cardiovascular diseases and a series of studies on intervention and treatment. The medical and scientific research work in this field has reached the domestic advanced level.

3. Diagnosis, treatment and research of respiratory infectious diseases

The department has accumulated rich experience in respiratory infectious diseases, and the clinical diagnosis rate and cure rate are high. Professor Yin Kaisheng is a member of the national anti-infection group and the deputy head of the lung infection cooperation group in East China. During the period of SARS in 2003, Professor Yin Kaisheng served as the head of the expert group on prevention and treatment of SARS in Jiangsu Province, and Professor Huang Mao served as the head of the expert group on prevention and treatment of SARS in Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu Province, with outstanding achievements, both of which were commended by the state and provincial governments. Prevention and treatment of atypical pneumonia, edited by our department, won the National Book Award and the Handbook of Practical Anti-infective Drugs (People's Health Publishing House), which was widely praised. He presided over 42 clinical studies of new anti-infective drugs, all of which were successfully certified. In recent years, respiratory syncytial virus has been studied experimentally.

4. Pathogenesis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

Pulmonary hypertension, as a key pathophysiological link from COPD to cor pulmonale, is an important factor affecting the prognosis of COPD. Participated in six national sub-projects of "1035" and the project of Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, "Effect of ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener on the occurrence and development of pulmonary hypertension and its treatment research" (200005 1). * * * published more than 40 papers. In 2007, he won the third prize of Chinese medical science and technology, the first prize of outstanding papers of young and middle-aged people in China, the annual prize of Dr. China Seckler, the third prize of national scientific and technological progress, the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the State Administration of Medicine and the second prize of Jiangsu Province.

5. Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory endoscopy

The department carried out lung biopsy through bronchoscope, bronchoalveolar lavage, fiberoptic bronchoscopy instead of thoracoscopic diagnosis and treatment, stent implantation under bronchoscope, needle aspiration biopsy through bronchoscope, thoracoscopic diagnosis and treatment, and high-frequency electrosurgery under fiberoptic bronchoscope earlier in the province. In 2007, he was awarded the project of Jiangsu Provincial Health Department, "Study on the application of lung volume reduction with fiberoptic bronchoscope stent in the treatment of emphysema model". In 2007, respiratory endoscopy center was rated as the national training base of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment technology by the Ministry of Health. The neurology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University now has two wards (70 beds), outpatient department, emergency department, neurophysiology laboratory and clinical neurology laboratory (cerebrospinal fluid cell laboratory). Every year, patients with various nervous system problems are treated 1000 cases, more than 70,000 cases are treated in outpatient department, and nearly 1000 cases are rescued in emergency. This subject has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the nervous system, especially in the first aid of stroke patients, which has many remarkable characteristics. Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the green channel process, stroke first aid specification and key technical scheme of stroke first aid in the major bidding project of Jiangsu Province "Demonstration Research on the Application of Key Technologies of Stroke First Aid" (BS2006007). A large number of intractable diseases have been successfully diagnosed and treated. At present, the subject can carry out routine EEG, dynamic EEG, cerebral blood flow ultrasonic detection, electromyography (including single fiber electromyography), evoked potential, transcranial magnetic stimulation diagnosis and treatment and other technologies. In addition, new technologies such as real-time detection of intracranial pressure and cerebellar fastigial nucleus stimulation have been developed. Some technologies have advanced domestic level. The total value of equipment and instruments is more than 4 million yuan, which effectively meets the clinical medical needs and ensures the high-quality specialized medical level.

At present, the discipline has excellent academic echelon and stable research direction. He has undertaken and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 30 papers at home and abroad every year, and won more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial awards. The main research directions include: pathogenesis and treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease, etiological diagnosis and technical research of central nervous system infection, standardized diagnosis and treatment of headache, methods and techniques of central nervous system injury and repair, clinical characteristics of Alzheimer's disease and application of medical methods and techniques. It has trained more than 50 doctors and masters, and is an important training base for senior professionals in Jiangsu Province.
