These two companies are mobile phone representative enterprises in the Greater China Economic Circle.

HTC's mobile phone brand is HTC. In the smart phone market, HTC was born earlier than iPhone, but became famous later than Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson. In September this year, HTC's sales volume ranked in the top five in the world, setting a record of being the shortest among China's mobile phone brands, but being on an equal footing with world-class bosses.

However, Wang Xuehong's personality is the same as his father Wang Yongqing's, only first, his personality is more like desperately Saburo, and he will never give up until he reaches his goal. After that, Wang Xuehong entered the PDA field and experienced a short PDA career. Before consumers could understand it, its products disappeared from the market. This experience made Wang Xuehong pay a lot of tuition fees and changed Wang Xuehong's persistence and belief.

Although he fell into PDA, Wang Xuehong clearly saw the personal business needs of consumers, so he embarked on a unique road of smart phones.

HTC's cash dividends in recent years are: 27 yuan in 2006, 34 yuan in 2007, 27 yuan in 2008 and 26 yuan in 2009. The average annual after-tax earnings per share (EPS) is higher than that of 30 yuan, even reaching 57.9 yuan and 50.5 yuan in 2006 and 2007, respectively, making it an out-and-out profit king.

HTC has its own unique advantages in achieving such results:

Traditional mobile phones are assembled with different chips, but HTC can develop its own series of connecting cables and find another way.

Moreover, it is biting the apple tightly. The number one "public enemy" of smart phones is Apple, and the only thing any smart phone wants to do is to knock down Apple. HTC, on the other hand, does not directly conflict with Apple in marketing strategy. Instead, I often take a ride with Apple and use Apple to educate consumers on smartphones in advance to find opportunities.

In this process, the most classic case is "zero mobile phone". Zero-yuan mobile phone is not the first of HTC, but this strategy not only helps consumers understand HTC, but also effectively helps the telecom industry to find high-end users and collect phone bills.

To some extent, HTC has created a new mode for enterprises in Taiwan Province Province to walk out of the road of OEM and get rid of the fate of low OEM gross profit. Lin, chairman of Dali Optoelectronics, predicts that the growth of smart phones will be the most obvious among global mobile phones in the future. Therefore, within five years from now, it will be the outbreak of smart phones. Starting from next year, the digital camera module pixels in smart phones will be rapidly upgraded from 5 million pixels, and wireless bugs will be installed. In order to wait for this wonderful moment, Lin persisted for 20 years.

Lin has no prominent family background. She worked as a civil servant and teacher in the government in the early days, and became a factory director from a grass-roots cadre in a sugar factory. At the age of 47, talents in Lin Yao started their business boldly.

In the era when there were no computers and mobile phones, Dali Guang's main products were plastic lenses. At that time, almost all the most important technologies of optical products were mastered by the Japanese, and Taiwan Province Province could only produce low-end products. Lin was not satisfied with this situation, and attached great importance to the company's independent technical ability at the beginning of his business.

Even so, when Da Liguang's gross profit margin was not ideal in a certain quarter, Lin still insisted on apologizing to shareholders and promised to work harder to help shareholders make more money. This attitude shows that da Li Guang still has a lot of room for growth, because it will never be satisfied.

HTC and Dali have one thing in common: the main person in charge is rarely exposed in the media, saying less and doing more. Perhaps this is the main reason why they can do things well. In 2009, Wang Jianzhou, Chairman of China Mobile, went to Taiwan Province, and his first stop was HTC. This was originally a good opportunity to vigorously promote, but HTC was not intoxicated by the praise.

In addition, HTC and Da Liguang have one thing in common: they insist on choosing and don't sway with the outside world.

After being a king, he made great achievements, but why not Hon Hai led by Guo Taiming, the richest man in TSMC, and Zhang Zhongmou, the godfather of wafer foundry? For enterprises in Taiwan Province Province, the rise of HTC, which started as a mobile phone, and Dali, which started as a digital camera lens, represents two meanings.

The first meaning: HTC and Daliguang represent a new kind of value, that is, the value of 2 1 century: brand, innovation and concentration.

Another meaning: from the trend point of view, the PC industry advocated teaching consumers to work hard and execute efficiently in the late 1980 s; The consumption trend in 2 1 century is enjoyment and entertainment.

The rise of smart phones has changed the gross profit of 3C industry. In the past, OEM of a laptop only earned RMB 100. The iPhone 4, which can be mastered in one hand now, earns much more. More than 30% of HTC's gross profit margin is still lost to Apple, so you can imagine how much profit Apple will get from an iPhone series that costs about $600.

China does not lack products, but high gross profit. Only when more and more enterprises face up to this problem and get rid of the Red Sea struggle can China's industries and enterprises be truly respected.
