China is definitely not a developed country at present. As for why it is not a developed country, there are several reasons: First, the development is unbalanced, especially the urban-rural dual structure. At present, the urbanization rate in China is about 58%, which is lower than the level of 80% in developed countries. There is a big income gap between urban and rural residents in China. The disposable income of urban households is 2.7 times that of rural residents, and the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents is 2.2 times that of rural residents. The gap between urban and rural infrastructure and public services is more obvious.
Take the places where European friends have been to China as an example. They all "punch in" to China cities or tourist attractions, and almost no one has been to rural China, let alone the mainland. They can't go to places that are too poor and backward because there is no expressway. There is a slogan in China rural poverty alleviation: "If you want to get rich, build roads first". Although China's highway construction has made great progress, the highway mileage density is still low. In 20 17 years, the expressway mileage density in China was 0.5 1 km/km2, as high as 5.8 km/km2 in Germany, 2.7 km/km2 in Poland and even 1.8 km/km2 in India.
Take sanitation facilities as an example. There is a movie called "Toilet Hero" in India, which reflects the current situation that farmers generally do not have toilets. The same problem exists in rural areas of China. The construction level of rural sanitation facilities in China is low, and toilets are an example. China launched the "toilet revolution" from 20 15, and in the past three years, more than 70,000 toilets have been rebuilt and built. Even so, only 36.2% of rural users in China use sanitary toilets, 58.6% use dry toilets, and 4.69 million households have no toilets, accounting for 2.0%. Similarly, in terms of drinking water, hospitals and communication facilities, there is still much room for improvement in rural construction in China.
China still has the problem of unbalanced development between the east and the west. The per capita GDP of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and other eastern regions has exceeded $ 1.3 million, reaching the lower limit level of high-income countries. However, in some poverty-stricken areas in the west, the goal of poverty alleviation is still "three meals a day and clothing for all seasons". In addition, China is still developing unevenly in many fields, such as income distribution, ecological protection and social security.
Second, the development is not sufficient, and the per capita level is still lower than the world average. Some western media have calculated some data that China is at an abnormally high level according to purchasing power parity, and come to the conclusion that "China's gross national income ranks first in the world" and "per capita GDP reaches the level of high-income countries", but most of them can't stand scrutiny. According to the statistics of authoritative organizations, the International Monetary Fund calculates per capita GDP with reference to purchasing power parity, and accordingly divides countries into developed economies, emerging economies and developing economies, and China still belongs to the latter. Although the World Bank classifies China as a middle-high income country according to its per capita national income (* * * is divided into low-income countries, middle-low income countries, middle-high income countries and high-income countries), China's per capita national income in 20 17 is 73 15 US dollars, which is only 15% of that of the United States and less than 25% of that of France, which is not only related to France. According to the per capita GDP, China is about $9,700 in 20 18 years, which is less than the lower limit of $9,700 in high-income countries. In addition, per capita GDP cannot be used as the only criterion to distinguish developing countries from developed countries, and the human development index issued by the United Nations Development Programme is also an important indicator. In 20 17, China ranked 86th in the world in the human development index, which was only at the middle level in the world, far lower than German, British and other European countries.
Third, development faces the problem that the original model is unsustainable and needs transformation and upgrading. The overall level of social productive forces in China is not high, and the structure of productive forces is not reasonable enough. It is a long way to go to change the development mode of high input and high consumption. The future development of China should pay more attention to environmental indicators, because people's requirements for green mountains and green waters are getting higher and higher; To improve investment efficiency, China's current investment efficiency has dropped to around 1:7, which is obviously lower than that of developed countries.
China is one of the most diligent nations in the world. China people work an average of 2,200 hours a year, much higher than developed countries in Europe and America. In a survey on the working hours of big cities in the world, China is generally among the best, while Paris has just become the largest city with the shortest working hours per week. In some technology companies in China, "996" has become a "hidden rule", that is, working from 9 am to 9 pm every day, six days a week. This phenomenon has caused a lot of complaints and is obviously unsustainable.
Behind these, it reflects the helplessness that China's economy is "big but not strong" and its technological innovation ability is still insufficient. Compared with developed countries, China's manufacturing industry is huge, but it is at the low end of the global industrial chain; The scale of trade is huge, but the trade structure is poor. Most of the exports are cheap "manual labor" and the imports are high "mental labor". China's cultural construction, national defense strength, science and technology, and modernization of social governance also need to be further improved.
At present, China proposes to promote "high-quality development" of the economy and industrial upgrading through supply-side structural reform, but this process cannot be achieved overnight and needs long-term persistence.
Fourth, development faces problems that are not understood. At present, China is changing from a high-speed development stage to a high-quality development stage. Satisfying people's yearning for a better life is the primary task of our development. At present, there are 30 million poor people, more than 80 million disabled people and more than 200 million elderly people in China. The number of people who need to find jobs every year is150,000. These are livelihood issues that need to be solved urgently through development. However, the western media did not objectively report these real national conditions of China. When China developed rapidly, the "China threat theory" was hyped up. When the development of China was challenged, the "China collapse theory" was hyped up, which greatly misled the audience. This just proves that China is still a developing country to a certain extent, because it is the developed countries that have the right to speak and even set the agenda in international public opinion.
China is far from the so-called developed countries, and the revolution has not yet succeeded, so comrades still need to work hard.
