Rabies is an animal-borne infectious disease caused by rabies virus infection, mainly with central nervous system symptoms, and the mortality rate is almost 100%. Rabies, also known as hydrophobia, is characterized by water phobia, wind phobia, anxiety, salivation, pharyngeal muscle spasm and progressive paralysis.
World Rabies Day Theme 2 Rabies vaccine is inactivated vaccine. At present, the following types of rabies vaccines are approved for marketing in China:
① Human diploid cell vaccine: less adverse reactions, mild symptoms and good immune effect; But the production is slow, the cost is high and the price is expensive.
② Vero cell purified vaccine: It has the same safety and effectiveness as human diploid cell vaccine, but it has large output and low price.
③ Purified vaccine of primary hamster kidney cells: mild adverse reaction, good immune effect, safety and effectiveness.
④ Purified vaccine of primary chicken embryo cells: mild adverse reaction, good immune effect, safety and effectiveness.
Inoculation procedure
Prevention before exposure
Inoculate 1 and ***3 doses on day 0, 7 and 2 1 (or 28) respectively.
Prevention after exposure
There are two kinds of routine vaccination procedures, which should be vaccinated according to the vaccine instructions:
① 5 acupuncture method: inoculate 1 dose and ***5 doses on the 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28 days respectively.
② "2-1-1" scheme: 2 doses were inoculated on the 0 th day (deltoid muscle of left arm and right arm were inoculated with1dose respectively), and1dose was inoculated on the 7 th day and the 2 nd day respectively, with a total of 4 doses * *.
Prevention after re-exposure
(1) those who have been vaccinated with rabies vaccine all the time and are exposed again within 3 months, when they meet the conditions mentioned in the report of 20 13 of the world health organization (if the injured animals are healthy and immunized, they can be observed for 10 days).
② Those exposed for more than 3 months should be vaccinated with 1 dose vaccine on the 0 th and 3 rd days respectively.
(3) If a vaccine with uncertain efficacy is used, and it has not been fully vaccinated before or has been seriously exposed to Grade III, it needs to be fully vaccinated after re-exposure.
Injection site and adverse reactions
Rabies is a fatal disease, once it occurs, it will almost die, so there is no contraindication to use rabies vaccine after exposure, and the whole vaccination should be completed on time. If you have a history of severe allergy to any component in the vaccine, it should be regarded as a contraindication to vaccinate the same vaccine.
If an injection is delayed by one or several days, the inoculation time of subsequent injections should be delayed according to the time interval of the original inoculation procedure. Try to use the same brand of products to complete the whole vaccination. In principle, it is not recommended that patients carry vaccines to other places for vaccination.
Children under 2 years old are injected into the anterolateral thigh muscle, and children over 2 years old and adults are injected into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. Intramuscular injection was used. Injection into gluteal muscles is prohibited.
Within 24 hours after vaccination, redness, swelling, pain and itching may appear at the injection site, which can generally be relieved without treatment. May be mild fever, fatigue, headache and other systemic reactions, generally do not need to deal with.
Theme of World Rabies Day 3 Stones from other mountains can attack jade. Last June, 5438+065438+ 10, Mexico became the first country in South America to be confirmed to have eliminated rabies transmitted by dogs. The experience of Mexico can give us some enlightenment to control rabies.
Since 1980, Mexico has systematically implemented the national rabies eradication strategic plan. On the premise that the expenditure of rabies vaccine is more abundant than that of Africa, large-scale, intensive and free canine immunization was carried out, and the coverage rate of canine immunization was maintained at 80%.
At the same time, Mexico regularly neuters dogs and cats and provides timely and effective post-exposure immunization measures. 1990, 60 people died of canine rabies in Mexico, and no new cases were reported in 2006.
Yao Yue, dog project manager of the World Society for the Protection of Animals, pointed out, "Facing the challenge of eliminating rabies in 2030, we have been paying too much attention to how humans can prevent rabies from spreading from dogs. The case of Mexico confirms the key role of large-scale immunization of dogs and scientific dog number management in eliminating rabies. "
There are also some successful experiences in China. Yao Yue introduced that since the end of 200 1, Shenzhen began to implement compulsory rabies immunization for dogs. In 2003, rabies vaccine funds were included in the fiscal budget, and April and September of each year were designated as the unified action month of compulsory immunization against rabies in dogs in the city.
Shanghai also revised the Shanghai Dog Breeding Regulations on 20 1 1 to implement compulsory immunization of dogs and information management of dog electronic identification. The data shows that in 20 17 years, the vaccination rate of dogs in Shanghai exceeded 70%.
Vigorously improving the immune coverage rate of dogs is the most important thing to eliminate rabies; In cities with high rabies immunization coverage, scientific dog number management is also helpful to alleviate social problems such as human-dog conflict.
Civilized dog raising
Be a responsible and qualified host.
Sometimes it's cool to shoot a dog, but it's always cool to shoot a dog!
Nowadays, many people like "cats and dogs" to relax and watch pet bloggers share their daily interactions with Meng Chong. Many people are affected and want to be winners of cats and dogs: what kind of breed should they raise? Teddy is cute, Jin Mao is smart, and Samoyed is cute ... Do you want to raise a small public office or a little prince?
Don't make a decision yet
Meng Chong can really give his master warm company in life, but he also needs his master to pay a lot for it. Before raising a dog, you might as well make a self-assessment to test whether you are suitable for raising a dog.
Everyone in the family supports raising dogs.
Have sufficient economic conditions to bear the necessary expenses such as dog food and medical care for pet dogs.
Have enough time and energy to walk the dog.
When going out on business trips or holidays, you can find a suitable place to take care of your dog.
In the next ten years, I am willing to live with dogs all the time, and I will not abandon them because they are sick, naughty, pregnant and moving.
If all the above answers are "yes", congratulations, you are qualified to have a dog. You can try "adopting instead of buying" and bring your lovely pet home.
