The South China Scholarship Festival first started at 1993. The first South China Scholarship Festival created three firsts, the first large-scale mass reading activity at the provincial level, the first book fair selling books from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the first book fair introducing commercial advertisements.
Since 1995, the Southern Reading Festival has been closed for ten years. In 2005, the third Southern Scholarship Festival was resumed.
We don't simply sell books, but put forward the positioning of "the festival of scholars". Since 2007, with the promotion of the government, the Southern Scholarship Festival and the Yangcheng Book Fair have been combined and decided to hold it once a year.
