1930, 1 February, Deng Xiaoping, Li Mingrui, Yu Zuoyu and other leaders launched the Longzhou Uprising, which shocked China and foreign countries, founded the Eighth Army of the Chinese Red Army, established the Zuojiang Revolutionary Committee, established the Zuojiang Revolutionary Base, and connected Zuojiang with Youjiang Revolutionary Base, which became an important revolutionary base established by our party in ethnic minority areas at that time. Longzhou Uprising was the only uprising led by China Productivity Party during the Agrarian Revolutionary War, which greatly stimulated the anti-imperialist desire of China people, opened a new era of China revolution and wrote a glorious page in the history of China revolution.
Longzhou Uprising Monument was built in the center of Jiangjun Mountain in the east of the county seat. The monument is designed according to the style and scale of 80% of the Monument to the People's Heroes in Beijing, and its shape is solemn and majestic.
The monument stands north and south, with a height of 19.30m and a height of 30.2 1m, which symbolizes the time of Longzhou Uprising 1 February, 0930. The base is 15m wide, which means that15 counties in Zuojiang area are the basis of Zuojiang revolutionary base. The monument body is 7 meters wide and the monument cap is 8 meters wide, which means that the Eighth Red Army was established after the establishment of the Seventh Red Army.
Nine groups of four-sided reliefs on the pedestal of the monument: ① Victory Uprising, ② Establishment of a Party Organization under the leadership of Deng Xiaoping, ③ Agrarian Revolution, ④ Expulsion of the French Consul, ⑤ Anti-hegemonism, ⑤ Railway Bridge Blocking War, ⑧ Pingxiang Blocking War, ⑧ Cai Village Breakthrough War, and ⑨ Joining forces with the Eighth Army of the Red Army to show major historical events before and after the establishment of the Eighth Army of the Chinese Red Army; The front of the monument is engraved with "Longzhou Uprising Monument", and the back is engraved with Deng Xiaoping's inscription "The fruits of revolutionary victory are condensed with the blood of martyrs, and the great achievements of the Eighth Route Army and the people's revolutionary martyrs will live in our memory forever". On the other two sides of the monument, the hat badge of the Red Eighth Army was designed.
The main entrance of the monument is about 83 steps from the platform in front of the monument garden to the bottom of the slope 13, which is connected with the 30m municipal road. There are 6 meters wide sidewalks on both sides of the steps, which can drive into the park. An ecological parking lot is designed between the municipal road and the main entrance steps. According to the characteristics of land use, Monument Garden arranges monuments, roads, Monument Garden Square and parking area on both sides of a straight line, forming an axial structure, which highlights the momentum of the monument. At the same time, through the setting of steps, the spatial scope of the monument is created.
