Zhenjiang, one of the earliest cradles of Wu culture, was once the political and economic center of the early Wu Dynasty. However, with the strength of Wu, its political and economic center gradually moved south to Suzhou in Wuxi today. After Chu Fan, the son of Shoumeng, succeeded to the throne, Suzhou and Zhenjiang, the capital of Wuding, began to move away from the Wu cultural center. After the "Yongjia Rebellion" in the Western Jin Dynasty, the northern economy was depressed, and with the long-term intrusion of conference semifinals, at the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Si Marui had to give up its capital in the north, and the northern giants also went south in succession. These expatriates crossed the Yangtze River with their northern cultures and dialects, and Zhenjiang was the first to arrive. This large-scale migration is destined to change the fate of Zhenjiang. Under the impact of northern culture, Zhenjiang was further marginalized in the Wu culture circle. Since then, northern culture has become another focus of Zhenjiang culture. Zhenjiang has changed from a perfect circle with a center to an ellipse with two focuses, and began to wander between Wu culture and northern culture.
Today, the mentality of Zhenjiang people is also complicated by this kind of cultural wandering: although they are in the south of the Yangtze River, they speak Jiangbei dialect, which makes Zhenjiang people happy and incompatible with southern Jiangsu, where Wu Nong's soft language is the main body, and is often ridiculed by Su as "just pulling Ning" in the south of the Yangtze River. But after all, I am in the south of the Yangtze River, and I don't want to compare with cities separated by a river. When I rummage through everything, I am often surprised to find some factors of Wu culture, and use this as evidence to show that I have not completely divorced from the Wu cultural circle. So many Zhenjiang people have been unable to decide how to position themselves. At this time, China people's ability to be good at reconciliation can be demonstrated. Someone gave Zhenjiang such an evaluation-"Wu Tou Chu Wei"-a buffer zone where Wu culture and northern culture meet. Here, the northern culture began to gradually transition to Wu culture. The shadow of this statement can also be found in Wang Changling's "Sending Flowers to the Lotus House" in the Tang Dynasty: "When you enter Wu Hanyu at night, you will see off the guests in Chu Mountain.
Indeed, the evaluation of the image of "Wu Tou Chu Wei" makes Zhenjiang people seem to have a little settled mind in their cultural leisure time. It is better to say that you are tolerant than to see yourself as neither fish nor fowl. The integration of multiculturalism is also a blessing. Walking in Zhenjiang, you can really feel the appropriateness of these four words.
Zhenjiang people are as careless, generous and generous as northerners, but they do not lose the delicacy of Jiangnan people. They are subtle and shrewd, but also contain the generosity of northerners. Compared with the people in Chunwu, the gentlemen here are more masculine and the ladies are more atmospheric.
The integration of culture has also created Zhenjiang's special urban temperament. During the Southern Song Dynasty, half of the country pushed Zhenjiang to the war-torn Song and Jin front. There is no sparkling scenery of Taihu Lake, no wrinkled rocks of Taihu Lake, and no endless singing and dancing of West Lake. The waves of the Yangtze River are rolling and the drums of the battlefield are rumbling. Looking at the north of Linjiang, Xin Qiji can sing "I thought of that year, Jin Ge Tiema, tiger swallowed Wan Li" instead of "asking for flowers with tears"; Liang Hongyu can help her husband beat gongs and drums and fight for the Golden Army instead of painting yellow on the mirror. However, it is also wrong to think that Zhenjiang has no unique humanistic color and scholarly mansion. Liang Xiaozhao and ming prince built a reading desk in Zhaoyin Mountain, and built a small living room with carved columns and jade, spacious and bright, and five bays near the reading desk, named Zenghua Pavilion, and devoted himself to reading. Eleven years later, The Selected Works, the first literary collection in the history of China literature, came out here. Later, Emperor Qianlong wrote Reading Desk, expressing his appreciation for Xiao Tong's unique seclusion mentality of Jiangnan literati. The poem says: "It is a curse to avoid the trend of rivers and lakes, and it is also a curse to learn for thousands of years. Hu Ben used to admire Zhong Lang and was kind. He would rather know that he was not like this. " In the Qing Dynasty, after Sikuquanshu was written, Wenzong Pavilion was built in Jinshan, Zhenjiang to store one of the seven manuscripts at that time. Wenzong Pavilion, Yangzhou Wenhui Pavilion and Hangzhou Wen Lan Pavilion are also called "Nansan Pavilion", which shows the important position of Zhenjiang in cultural history.
In terms of diet, Zhenjiang people are not as spicy as most people in Wudi, but they can still enjoy it. In the face of sweetness, it won't be as uncomfortable as northerners, but it can still be eaten. Zhenjiang people can cook the pot cover noodles that northerners like to eat, and they can steam the crab yellow soup packets that can rival Su.
Under the influence of two cultures, Zhenjiang is very tolerant and peaceful. Although there is no famous statement of Jinling and no bustling market in Suzhou, Zhenjiang people still have a good time. Faced with the marginalization of Jiangsu, Suzhou and Wuxi, Zhenjiang people just smiled indifferently and went their own way when they heard the loud slogan that Jiangbei Brothers City would become "Shanghai in the North" and "Jiangnan in the North" for many years. Some people say that Zhenjiang is in southern Jiangsu, but he is not enterprising and lives in southern Jiangsu in vain. In fact, Zhenjiang people have their own rhythm and good mentality, and are taking every step calmly.
Looking at Zhenjiang again, Zhenjiang is only Zhenjiang, a city that combines rigidity with softness. It doesn't care about right or wrong, and it talks a lot. With the help of these two cultures, it is moving forward.
