Hello, passengers and friends. I am today's tour guide. You can call me * *. First of all, I want to thank you and welcome you. I will serve you warmly and make you have a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
Baiheliang underwater stone carving is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in the north of Fuling District. It is a natural giant Liang Shi, about 1600 meters long and 16 meters wide. Liang Shi only comes into contact with water in the dry season of winter and spring. According to legend, Zhu Erzhen, a real person in the Tang Dynasty, practiced here, and later gained enlightenment and went by crane fairy, hence the name Bai Heliang. There are 164 stone carvings in Liang Shi since the first year of Tang Guangde (763), including hydrological stone carvings 108; Stone fish map 14, three of which are hydrological markers.
Inscriptions and images intermittently record the historical low water level of 72 years from 65438 to 0200, which is of great historical value for studying the low water law, shipping and production in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. At the International Hydrological Work Conference held in Paris from 65438 to 0974, the China delegation submitted a special report on the inscription of Fuling Stone Fish, and the scientific value of Baiheliang was recognized by the world. The stone fish carving on Baiheliang not only has important scientific research and historical value, but also has the meaning of "good weather and smooth water for stone fish" and "more fish every year". Therefore, the ancients carved a sentence on the white crane beam, "In the dry season, the stone fish comes out of the water, which is a thousand years." On Baiheliang, there are many poems and inscriptions by poets and writers of past dynasties, such as Huang Tingjian, Zhu, Pang Gongsun and Wang Shizhen. Seal, official, travel and grass are all prepared, and Yan, Liu, Huang and Su are presented together, which has extremely high artistic value, so it has the reputation of "underwater stone carving". Baiheliang has been designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit. After the completion of the Three Gorges Project, Baiheliang will be submerged.
Baiheliang is located in the Yangtze River in the north of Fuling City and belongs to Chongqing City, Sichuan Province. This is a natural rocky Liang Shi in the vast river. It extends from west to east, parallel to the river, and inclines to the center of the river with a slope of 14.5 degrees. Submerged in the river all the year round, only partially surfaced at the turn of winter and spring when the water level is low. There are 160 stone carvings on the beam (partially submerged in water). The calligraphy inscribed on it is highly accomplished and exquisite, which is a precious material in China's calligraphy art and a rare underwater forest of steles in the world.
The stone fish carved on Baiheliang is a symbol of ancient hydrological observation, and the inscription on the stone carving is a record of ancient hydrological observation and an extremely important hydrological historical material.
Time flies, in this short time, thank you for spending this precious time with me, thank you!
