The late President Roh Moo-hyun (1 September 19461May 23, 2009) took moving the capital as one of his campaign slogans in the presidential election at the end of 2002 and won the votes of voters in Central China. The opposition presidential candidate also lost support because of his opposition to moving the capital. Roh Moo-hyun will honor his promise when he is elected, which also proves that moving the capital is supported by the ruling and opposition parties.
