OSPF is a link-state routing protocol with an administrative distance of 1 10. It uses the protocol number (89) and has no concept of automatic summary or hop count. RIPV2 is suitable for small networks, OSPF is suitable for large networks, and there are SPF algorithms, which are also partitioned.
