Suzhou, Nanjing Gaochun, Huzhou Anji, Jiaxing, Zhoushan and other places have launched the banner of "the best observation place" to attract the attention of astronomy enthusiasts and tourists. The first person who shouted the slogan "The Best Observation Point in the World" was Anji, Huzhou. In March this year, Professor Basachev, Chairman of the Eclipse Group of the International Astronomical Union, Yan Yihua, Chief Scientist of the National Astronomical Observatory, and Zhu Jin, Director of the Beijing Planetarium, visited the upper reservoir of the pumped storage power stations in Jinshan District of Shanghai, Moganshan Mountain of Deqing and Tianhuangping of Anji successively. Finally, it is determined that Anji Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area is the best observation point in the world for this total solar eclipse, because the local air quality is good and the atmospheric transparency is high, which is suitable for scientific research and observation.
Zheng, marketing director of Anji Jiangnan Tianchi Resort Co., Ltd., said that so far, more than 200 astronomers and more than 6,000 astronomy enthusiasts from more than 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Britain, France and Spain, have made an appointment to observe the total solar eclipse in Anji. Astronomers from India, Japan and other countries have sent tons of observation instruments to Tianchi Resort south of the Yangtze River. Experts from the National Astronomical Observatory listed Jiaxing as the best observation point because it has five advantages, such as being located on the center line of the total solar eclipse, long observation time, convenient transportation, wide field of vision and clear weather. Experts from Purple Mountain Observatory recently announced at the promotion meeting of Zhoushan Islands, the best observation point for total solar eclipse, that Zhoushan is the best observation point for this total solar eclipse. Because Zhoushan has the best observation angle when the total solar eclipse occurs, in addition, Yangshan Town of Zhoushan has the longest observation time in China, reaching 6 minutes 0 1 second, which is higher than the average observation time of 5 minutes in the Yangtze River Delta cities.
