Tibet TV 1985 was formally established on August 20th. The building area is 12000 square meters, with four studios and a 79-meter-high TV tower, and the TV production and editing system and marine nonlinear editing equipment produced by Sony Corporation of Japan. There are also 2 ob vans, 30 cameras, 46 editing machines and 8 sets of advanced consoles and other technical facilities, with total fixed assets exceeding 654.38 billion yuan. The scale has developed from two simple mobile bungalows in the initial stage of preparation to a TV program translation, production and broadcasting center with modern studios and modern office facilities, with fixed assets of over 100 million yuan; The number of employees has grown from 4 in the initial stage to more than 400, with more than 80% of employees being graduates from professional colleges and 7% being senior titles.
Tibet TV currently has more than 400 staff members, including editorial department, advertising department and news department 15 departments. A team of journalists with strong politics, good professionalism, strict discipline and positive style has been trained. The slogan put forward by the whole station is: "face the whole country and the world, take the road with local and national characteristics, and make Tibet TV station a unique local TV station."
The TV station runs two programs by itself. A program is transmitted by satellite; A program covers the urban area of Lhasa, with an audience of 400,000. The self-made programs are broadcast in both Chinese and Tibetan languages, with weekly broadcast of 1.26 hours and daily production of 1.5 hours. Play 2 programs. All of them have satellite coverage, with an average of 30 hours broadcast every day and tens of millions of viewers. The trump card columns of this station include Tibet news network, seven-color wind, in Tibet, walking in the snowy area, news viewpoint and so on. The first program (Tibet Satellite TV) was broadcast on local channel 8 and transmitted by satellite. It is a comprehensive program, with main columns including Tibet News Network, In Tibet, Seven Colors Wind, Snowy Horizon, Weekly, Information Window, Economic Wide Angle, etc. The second program was broadcast on 12 channel, replaying the main columns of Tibet Satellite TV. At present, there are four broadcast control rooms, all of which use analog equipment for editing and broadcasting, and optical cable transmission is used from the broadcast control center to the satellite uplink station and launch pad. Technically, it will develop in the direction of equipment digitalization, multimedia production networking, broadcast control automation and solid-state emission.
